| If shes been to the vet and deemed healthy, I am sure its just her adjusting to you and her new environment. I am sure she will be fine in a week or so. Good luck with your little one! |

| A five year old yorkie is not, by a long shot, old. She is either getting use to you or is sick. Have you had her checked out by your vet? Did you get vet records with her? Do you have big dogs that might scare her? Children she might not be use to? There could be numerous reasons. For some dogs, it takes time to adjust. Good luck and congratulations on your new baby.

| Five years is still young for a yorkie. How long have you had her? If you haven't already, you need to take her to the vet for a thorough exam and bloodwork. She may just need more time to adjust to her new surroundings, but you really need to rule out any medical issues. Where did you get her from? Was she someone's pet, or was she used for breeding?

| Hi. Mine just turned 5 and I do not consider her old, at all. She does sleep a lot - probably most of the day - but when we are at home in the evening, she follows us around and still wants to play tug-of-war. I am sure that your new dog is just getting familiar with her new environment. Just give her some time - I'm sure she'll warm up. |

| I picked her up Saturday night, no I'm not breeding her, her breeder said she had been bred once and can be bred again I was just wondering if she was old cause of the way she is acting, I'm going to get her fixed just wanted to know if she was also too old for that. Her breeder retired her and wanted to find her a home where she will be a pet only, so I hope she will come around |

| It has only been a couple of days since you brought her home. It will take time for your new girl to get used to her new surroundings. She may even be a little sad . Give her lots of TLC right now .She is not old , sounds like a little freaked out though.
