I think that's what it means! Lucy does this with Ringo too when she wants to play. If he's lying down; she'll sit right in front of him and put her little paw on his head. Awwwwwwww. Is it possible to ignore such extreme cuteness???

1st post... Dobbin did this to me, always had to be touching me w/ a paw. We were very close and he was NOT the dominate dog in the house. i think he considered me his alpha as opposed to the male in my pack of 3. I loved it!

I don't see it as dominance at all. Affection. I've had cats that did that. Always had to have a paw on my hand. And cats aren't really known for having to dominate anyone, as far as a pack mentality. Baby will take her paw and grab my lower lip and pull it to her face when she wants a kiss but that's about as aggressive as she gets. And that doesn't bother me a bit...
Unless, of course her nails need trimming.
