Where did you get your yorkie from? Did you get your yorkie from a breeder, a pet shop, a rescue league, or any other place?

Keeley came from a Breeder in MI. His mom, and a tiny little sister were both onsite, along with 2 other yorkies the breeder owned. They were all taken care of very well and the breeder was absolutly great. If we still lived in Michigan I'd go back to her when we decide to get another...

| My boyfriend got tucker for me from a breeder in texas. We live in virgina, and had to have him shipped(which scared me!), but he came to us happy , healthy, and chubby!

Coco came from an online breeder in Iowa and was shipped by plane. She was PERFECTLY fine but after reading so much on this website I wouldn't do that again without seeing the pup and parents with my own eyes instead of just looking at pics. I think I lucked out and got a very reputible honest person sight unseen

I'm in Fl and got Chloe from a breeder in Atlanta and Lacey from a breeder about 1 1/2 hrs away. I would definitely want to see the home or know without a doubt that the breeder is reputable, the puppies are in a clean, loving home environment, its preferable to see the parents as well. And, that was before I found this website. Now, I feel even stronger about making that home visit. Definitely avoid Pet Stores. Rescues are great but older yorkies can be a little hard to train out of bad habits, it might require a lot of patience. However, now I know there are a lot of very nice yorkies in rescue who need love and are worth it. Also, we have several breeders on this site, another bit of news I was unaware of when I got mine. Lastly, yorkies are wonderful pets and not everyone is a good owner candidate. They require attention and love, so someone who isn't home much might want another pet.

Chattie and Chizzie came from a loving small breeder. I purchased Peppy at 7 months from a dear sweet loving woman who could no longer take care of him.

We bought Jo from a lady 3 days after she bought him from the breeder in Missouri. She bought him as a playpal to her larger Yorkie but it wasn't working out so she put an ad in the paper and we bought him. Once we moved to Florida we bought Riley from a breeder here.
