Trade a pregnant Yorkie for a Parrot?

What is going on that makes the situation even worse than previously thought? Why does anyone stepping in only until this afternoon?

I guess what is making this worse is the way the greeder is "marketing" her. This is a small yorkie (not even 5lbs), she is "rare" golden color, bred with a 3.5lb male....she free whelps, loves everybody - so the owner isn't worried at all about rehoming her 3 weeks from her due date.

She is wanting a parrot for her daughter and has turned down several offers, but if someone wants to pay $350 for the yorkie, she may sell her rather than trade.

She has had over 20 offers since this ad appeared yesterday. And, will be making a decision this afternoon after she gets off work.

I know what will happen with girl....someone will get her, she will have this litter, then another, and another, and..........

I would love to get her out of this situation but also know working with rescue it isn't a good idea to pay for a dog that needs to be rescued.

If I lived closer, I'd buy her a stuffed parrot and take her dog. Crazy wench.

Some people just don't deserve to be called human when they want to trade a beautiful loving dog for a parrot. If They don't want them give them to someone that can take care and love them and get them vet care they need. Just like the lady that gave me hers.
I was walking around a flea market one day and I love yorkies so when I see one I like to stop and pet them if allowed. One day I did that and the lady gave it to me. She asked for my name and number so she could call and check on her so I gave it to her. Needless to say within a couple she called me to see how she was doing and asked for my address because she wanted to see her. I gave it to her. She asked if she could come out the next day I said that was fine. When she came out she brought with her two more yorkies needless to say I ended up with them to.

His or Her mother should have traded him or her for a jack ass because thats what I think of people like that
