				 | http://www.alexispark.com/index.html This is the place that the show will be held in Nov. I think it's just off the strip across from the Hard Rock. Yes, it is extremely hot here - it was 100 until around 11pm last night, and I live in the NW part of town, but it is a dry heat. The pavement does get scorching hot. Unfortunately, Vegas is not the most dog friendly city, however, my friend used to work at the Belagio as a Mgr of the salon and I know that some people brought their tiny Yorkies in with them but they were in carriers. I,myself, wouldn't take my dogs walking on the strip. It's hard enough for people. I do see alot of people with their dogs so I'm sure there are some places you can bring them but mine are not that small so I've never tried. Uhh did you want me to keep Thor for you? I'm not sure you'd get him back but.... lol! If there's anything I can do to help you out - just let me know, ok?

I wouldn't want to bring Thor somewhere unless he was spending a lot of time outside the hotel, and not in a bag. It's such a bummer! First, I had to let go of my fantasy trip with Thor in Hawaii, because dogs get quarantined there, now, Vegas. Oh well, I am definitely going to be taking him to Utah in a few months (and spending an insane amount on the hotel's pet fee), and then to Arizona in the winter.

				 | Hey, now we are thinking about Vegas for the InterBike show there at the end of Sept. I'm considering taking Uni, but I would stay at a small hotel or inn, not a huge casino. Now that I think about it, I hate having to park far, then walk through the huge lot, then walk through the huge casino to check in, the go up a million floors, then walk down the huge hallway to get to my room. I found out that the La Quinta near the Sands Expo is pet friendly and NO PET FEE! Whee! Free breakfast too! And it's close enough to the expo center that we can pop in every few hours. Thinking about it....

				 | Quicksliver, We just got back from vacation in Vegas, stayed at the 4 seasons, it was very nice. It is above the mandalay bay casino, it's own entrance, elevators, etc. quite, no drunks in the hall, great staff. BUT it is more expensive than some of the other strip hotels though not all, definitely first class. You could also try the trump towers their rooms are less but they charge a pet fee, non refundable of course. The 4 seasons has a spot in front of the hotel where you can "walk" not much of a spot but some, Sprocket and I went at 5am and it was 85, again at about 6:30 105, and then about 10:30p again 85-90. Now it is just so blessed hot. But we NEVER walked on the ashalt, only a little on the concrete, washed down with cold water both before and after, made sure the feet were clean from the dirty sidewalks and not burnt. The doorman at the 4 seasons always had icecold water and cold wet cloths and lots of doggie bags. Which we made good use of all. We used our kwiggie bo or our stroller and went everywhere except the pool. Although Sprocket doesn't really like the casino noise much, "wheel of fortune" . We met and talked to many people with small dogs, they either looked the other way when we weren't supposed to be there or out right ignored us. But Sprocket has had a summer hair cut and was not outside alot, but none of the malls had any problems, and the shopping is WOW, outlets and regular, lots of good buys, 60-80% off on many things if you are looking to shop. Only one good dog spot I found flea bag in henderson, nice people, but a drive. But of course the people watching is my favorite sport. And that is a show that is priceless. Enjoy, we did.
