| Is Rhianna the only one with OCD? Not sure where to post this but I swear Rhianna has become OCD since her spay surgery . . .little by little I've noticed some behavior changes. She is completely routine . . .needs to bite at my socks every morning as I'm leaving for work. When someone leaves my home she practically screams because she doesn't want them to leave (this does not include me or my husband) but when my son's girlfriend or my daughter or anyone tries to leave, she freaks out . . .she never used to do this . . .every morning before the alarm goes off, she jumps over my husband to get to me and is wild like let's go, time to get up . . .She used to not be nutso like this . . .seems like since her spay, then her overheating in July and having a seizure kind of made her hyper? IDK? My husband says I'm overreacting and that she's just a little hyper . . .but I seriously think she needs meds . ..

| I'm hoping Wylie's Mom chimes in. She has an OCD dog and my Cooper definitely has some obsessive compulsive behaviors. But to me, Rhianna sound like a typical Yorkie.

| Don't NOT schedule an appointment on my behalf. It's just my personal opinion. Let's see what others have to say

| Max is OCD in the sense that he is highly principled and things have to be a certain way. Everything has to be done correctly, otherwise he pouts or looks at me in disgust or disappointment. He loves routine. If he does something new, then it gets added to the daily or weekly routine. He makes me doubt the behaviorists who say that dogs live in the moment. Reacting to people leaving -- that is a fairly common Yorkie thing, from what I have gathered here. With Max, departures have to be on his terms. No one leaves until they have satisfied him. |

| Ok, well I contacted the vet today about this and one of the doctor's has retired and they are booked solid for the next 3 weeks. I have to call tomorrow at 8am to get a "sick call" appointment between 5 - 7pm. I am definitely going to do that because yesterday she got all hyped up and did something weird and I didn't think much of it . . .but today, when I got home there was a flurry of activity and she got all hyped up and she did it again. I have it on video and I uploaded it to the sick/injured forum. Ugh, I have no clue on what is going on . . .

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | AllDogBoots is right - Wylie is tooooooootally OCD. Here are some examples: *prefers to go to sleep at night with 2 socks, preferably *white*, but will accept darker *after he gets his 2 socks, there is a certain "route" he has to walk w/ said socks in his mouth, after which, he brings the socks up onto our bed and "taps" them into place; the other dogs may not be with the socks *when we used to feed kibble, he needed his kibble "fluffed" (by hand, fluffed around the bowl) every night around 8-9pm *he thinks barriers, of all kinds, just belong in he** -- as a young pup, he chewed through a baby gate *he has to turn in a bunch of circles before each meal *he has a VERY strong preference to be "at large" in the house, so that he can properly supervise the humans as well as Marcel, and Pfeiffer *he will *not*, repeat NOT use doggy stairs *he is all business during walks -- ALL business; he maintains the concentration of a sniper during walk time and takes it very seriously Oh lordie....I could go on and on...he has so many routines and programs that he maintains for his own equilibrium. So, don't feel too weird if you also have an OCD yorkie . How long has it been since the spay? She may be having some hormonal swings as her body is adjusting...
