| Bad experience with Jacket/harness http://www.caninestyles.com/apparel_winter.php Jackson has been wearing the coat (see link above) since last winter. I have it on snug and all. Yesterday he backed out of it when I was walking him! I was left holding the leash and empty coat still buckled! Thankfully he did not run into the street! I called the company and they refused to accept blame. I will never use a coat or vest in place of a harness again! These coats have rings on the backs to attach the leash to. I say don't! Can anyone recommend a water resistant/nylon winter coat that has a slot to access the harness or that I can put a harness OVER? |

| Sorry to hear that, it must of been scarey. Maybe you can make a slit in the coat, sewing around the slit so it won't get bigger, and put a harness on Jackson under that coat so he will be secured in it. It really looks warm but all those buckles and straps must add to its weight. I'd try to take them off and at least you have Jackson secured with his own harness and still keeping warm. The other thing would be to return the coat to the company explaining your situation, maybe you'll get your money back. Any clothing can be adapted with a hole for the leash, securing the hole so it won't get bigger if you know someone that sews. Best to be safe and whats a little hole in trade for safety. Glad to hear Jackson is ok and didn't go running away. |

I have 2 of these coats and have used them since last fall. All it takes is one time! And I am neurotic about checking the buckles and velcro! | |
