Sorry to hear that, it must of been scarey. Maybe you can make a slit in the coat, sewing around the slit so it won't get bigger, and put a harness on Jackson under that coat so he will be secured in it. It really looks warm but all those buckles and straps must add to its weight. I'd try to take them off and at least you have Jackson secured with his own harness and still keeping warm. The other thing would be to return the coat to the company explaining your situation, maybe you'll get your money back. Any clothing can be adapted with a hole for the leash, securing the hole so it won't get bigger if you know someone that sews. Best to be safe and whats a little hole in trade for safety. Glad to hear Jackson is ok and didn't go running away.
