| Please neuter. Visit your local shelter and see just how many "purebred" dogs are given up by owners. These are often dogs who were purchased with good intentions but who were given up because they were too much work or because the purchaser just no longer wanted a dog. It happens way too much. Unfortunately, many of these dogs never find a permanent home. Don't add to the problem!

I'm not a breeder, but you need to start with the best representation and if you are purchasing a puppy from a breeder who not only is willing to sell him at 8 weeks, but isn't willing to even keep him longer. There is a pretty good chance that he may not be the best representation! What kind of testing does the breeder do? This may all be a non-issue since you are not even sure he's being sold with open registration anyway! Again there is a lot to learn as posters have pointed out!
