A lot of people have really poor judgement when it comes to weight. On themselves too! I once had a brother and sister come into my shop and gasped at the size of Uni. They said OMG that yorkie is so big! I asked how big theirs was, and they said, like 2 lbs, no one pound. So I asked how old, and they said, oh about a year. I know Uni's age to the month, and for them to guesstimate and their dog is not even a year old? i was so tempted to tell them they need to get a scale that works. |

Ihave never gotten the my dog is smaller than yours. B/c they are either the same size or larger. But I have gotten lots of compliments! I just adore them so much! It doesn't matter who I have with me, my pug, chihuahua, or Yorkie. They always give nice compliments! :) |
Both our boys are between 4-5 lbs, which I think is PERFECT. (Not that I'm at all biased... ;) ) However since we take them almost everywhere, we get lots of attention and comments. I'm constantly having to educate people about there being no such thing as teacup yorkies. I HAVE had a couple of annoying people give me the "I have a yorkie too but she's like much smaller than yours..." so I just say "Awww that was sweet of you to take the runt... she probably needed some extra attention. I hope the breeder gave you a great discount." Another good one I just thought of would be "Oh well no wonder you don't bring her out with you... that'd be like trying to travel with a hampster in your hand!" |
