| Chews Everything-when does it stop?? Louie is 9 months old and all his adult teeth are in, but he still chews on everything in sight. The other day I came home to a corner of my floor molding completely chewed. It looks like a pencil. I thought the chewing ended once their adult teeth completely came in???

| I guess he likes to chew. I would get lots of chew toys and spray Apple Bitter Spray on your floor molding. Yorkies! Gotta Love Them!!!

| I don't know when they outgrow it. It seems that most adult dogs will also chew destructively when they are bored. Yes, leave lots of chew toys around. Kongs are great for stuffing; if you freeze them, they last even longer. Rawhide, squeaky toys... I leave lots of toys when I can't be there. Someone on the list (bless them!) suggested clear deoderant on things that you don't want the dog to chew. Works great for us! |

| you can get bully sticks at any pet store, these stick are digestable for our little one... sometimes called bullwinkle stick...just ask when you get to the pet store.. dont give them pig ears, although they love them, they can choke on them... the bully sticks are made of bulls (penis) , and they smell like it too. not that i smelled one, but you'll see hen you get them.. they will enjoy them for hours on end... also try a kong. i put peanut butter in side it and freeze it overnite and give it to lexi before i leave for work... let me know the outcome?

| That's the thing guys-he has a MILLION toys and I leave all of them out when I'm not home. The other day I saw him starting to chew our corner kitchen cabinet, (we had our kitchen competely renovated last year)-my husband would flip his lid if he leaves a cabinet corner looking like a pencil-LOL, it's almost comical. I guess he likes corners-I'm going to try the deodarant thing...maybe that will help. I'll keep you guys posted.

| It does work I was the one that suggested the clear antiperspirant. I saw it on a tv program when I had just gotten my boys and it works great, I have used it on everything that I thought that they may chew. Never have I had to even reapply it, once was enough for the boys. I do make sure that they have plenty of chew toys, greenies, busy bones, etc. They also love pigs ears, and bully sticks. |

| Am I the only person that the kong has not worked for? I gave one to coco with peanut butter she licks it for all of 5 minutes then its off to chew something she is not supposed to! I have stuffed the kong with pupperoni and all kinds of stuff, she must be a lazy dog and not want to work to get anything....lol...But she just turned one and the chewing hasn't stopped she has more chew toys than you can even count but only chews them when she wants to. I was hoping I could again have books and stuff on my coffee table but thats a no go. When I'm not home whatever is on the coffee table is going to get chewed up. Coasters included! |

| No my boys were not interested in the kong either. Nudged it, gave it a few licks and have ignored it since (6 months). |

| When do they stop chewing? Let's see, I think when all the furniture and wood trim in your house is demolished. Seriously, cheap deodorant from the Dollar Store has been a god-send for me. We have a trunk full of hubby's family memoribilia and the trunk is VERY old. Every critter we have has taken a few bites out of it. BUT, not since I put the deodorant on it.. Of course, the trunk quit perspiring too.. Sorry, I am nutty this evening.. |
