I cant believe i am even posting this... My breeder just txt me asking how Poppy was... i dunno why he would do this after the way he spoke to me yesterday because he relly didnt care about her last night. In his text he said the people who where ment to be buying the other puppys from Poppys liter have let him down and he is going to have to re advertise the puppies... he asked if i wanted to take another puppy at a reduced price!!! I AM IN SHOCK. I txt him back saying poppy is fine and that i think the other puppies should stay with there mother untill 12 weeks of age after the trouble i have had with poppy and i could not afford to look after two dogs. He just txt me back telling me he is happy poppy is ok and he ignored what i had said about the puppys being kept with there mother untill 12weeks and he continued to tell me that him and his husband are having a take away and a drink tonight!!!!! Ugh i dont think what this breeder is doing is right and its annoyed me he has had the cheek to txt me and ask if i would like another puppy. I am going to phone the RSPCA now and see if they can do something so that the puppys stay with there mother untill they are 12 weeks old. I can but try xxx |

It terrible that you have to go through this and even more terrible to know that there are plenty of breeders like him in the world. It just goes to show you have to make sure you know what you are getting into and do AS MUCH RESEARCH as you possibly can on the breeder you are getting your pup from before you make the purchase. Make sure to update us once you get on the phone with the RSPCA to see if they can do anything for these poor puppies. |

The OP is open and receptive to advice and has been researching this breed for awhile. If the pup had to end up any where, she's very lucky she ended up where she did. |

Yes, that was mean and harsh of you....shame on you. Maybe you should buy her a car and go with her to "demand" her money back. Why do you feel you can be rude and harsh to someone asking for advice?? I understand questions about those who don't have a clue on breeding, but she is not to blame. She did everything right in looking for a healthy puppy from who she thought was a good breeder. She got screwed by him. She knows if she takes Poppy back the idiot will just sell her again. Poppy is better off with her as she can do nothing about the breeder. |
Ok sorry to post again with ANOTHER exciting update, i dont wanna post everytime poppy breathes haha but i am so excited. I walked into the livingroom room and poppy was over her bowl drinking her milk from it :D I was so happy. She got out of her bed herself walked over to her bowl had a long drink and then climbed back into bed :D :D How wonderful is that. I have changed her milk to the milk with the puppy goats milk thats in the little cartons, she seems to really like it because she is drinking it ALOT :D Really happy she is eating and drinking ok. What a special little girl she is. xxx |
Natasha I am sure we all love to hear the updates on Poppy - feel like we have a vested interest in her life now -see, Poppy has all us "virtual" mommies now:D I get a kick out of hearing how much better Poppy is doing:) |

Thank you so much :D I cant stop being so happy when she is doing things for herself. I was jumping around the livingroom so happy before because she did a poo LOL :p She was so hyper before running around playing trying to climb up me and lick my chin lol. Then she was running after the cat (my cat just is not bothered at all about her) and she has a fair speed when she wobbles along running about its so cute lol. She has come on leaps and bounds and i am starting to really relax that she is going to be ok. Yes you played a part in making sure poppy is ok :) Its amazing how much everyone helped me here when non of u knew me and you all live miles and miles away its truely amazing that a bunch of very special people helped me to save my babies life on the internet. YT is full of alot of guardian angels who are here to help and support others its amazing. Just so greatfull to everyone pulled together to help me in mine and poppys time in need, again thank you all :D I will be becoming a donating member of YT its such a wonderful place. Poppy is fast sleep now i think i might get her up for a little play before we go to sleep for the night so she might sleep better through the night. :D xxxx |
LOL- glad to hear she's doing better. And I totally understand the joy over her going poo. I had to come on here and post after Scarlett started pooing on her own, too. I knew that no one else but the people here would find it quite as exciting as I did :) |
Natasha and Donna you gals need to get a life - getting excited over poo:lol tears |

Natasha just got home from work and had to check in to see Poppy updates. so happy she is eating and pooing! You are doing an amazing job. Give her a hug from her YT family member :D |
Thank you Genes :D You are her YT guardian angel!! Poppy slept all the way through the night last night.... she didnt cry anyway. When i looked at her bowel all her milk was gone again so i think she likes that milk :D xxx |
oh man can I understand getting excited over POOP! Sienna was REALLY sick last week with an infection in her intestine she had runny stool for 3 days she woke me up once an hour for 3 nights in a row to go out to poop finally on that 4th day she had a semi firm stool I nearly cried my mom and I cheered and clapped so long and loud she now thinks pooping is like this amazing skill and gets all excited when she does it my silly girl your doing an AMAZING job with your little baby and BTW i didnt mention SHE FREAKING ADORABLE |
Quote:
Aw thank you she is pretty adorable :D hehe! I am so sorry to hear that your little girl wasnt well, i hope she is fully recovered now. I know its so exciting when the poop and you know there gonna be alright lol i was so happy when Poppy pooped haha! xxx |
Checking for updates on Poppy and glad she is doing well :D Which milk are you giving her? Is it in little cartons with a golden lab puppy on the front? If it is thats what I gave my Poppy and she was obsessed with it LOL forget the dinner it was milk milk milk all the way so I had to take it from her :) What did the RSPCA say about this? I think you should report him to the KC too if he is making a living from breeding... because the fact that he didnt register his litter probably means he's not a licensed breeder.... surely something can be done about that? I hope so anyway :) Big Poppy sends Little Poppy puppy kisses! x |

Yeah Poppy is doing great :D I am giving her TopLife Puppy Milk in the little carton. Its made from goats milk... and she loves it lol. Might limit it to once a day tho because she is only eating a bit of food and drinking loads of milk lol. I have not heard back from the RSPCA yet  maybe they are busy or something. I will update when i hear something. Poppy loved them little puppy kisses from big Poppy haha :p xxx |

The vet told me when Poppy was 6 weeks I shouldnt be giving her puppy milk because she had already been weaned and should just give her water. So I took it straight off her and she started eating her food again. Will keep checking for updates from the RSPCA :) |

Oh! anytime you make changes to her food you need to give a probiotic. In the states we use Benebac, it comes in a package of 6 small tubes. |
So glad to hear Poppy is doing better. I would also be excited to see the little one poo, it's such a mom thing!! She has a mommy who loves her and is proactive in helping her along, she will do fine. Keep in touch with the vet with any questions, I've had animals all my life and anytime would call them, no matter how busy, they always called by the end of the day and are very patient with questions. Can't wait to hear about more of her progress. I remember when Piper was that tiny...you will enjoy seeing her grow and change. |

I personally want to thank Mary, Gail, and Sylvia for being there for Natasha and Poppy. You have been truly amazing. |

Thank you so much. Everyone has been little stars here. Poppy is doing wonderful. I cant believe how much she has perked up :D xxxx |
yeah!!!! You're such a good mommy. Glad to hear she is doing well:D |
I'm so sorry you had to go through all this mess. I'm just seeing this thread now for the first time. You've been given excellent advice from those who were being helpful..I can only imagine your panic when you discovered she was only 5 weeks old! Quote:
Sounds like your breeder had second thoughts about being rude to you, and was trying to make amends of a sort to protect his butt! I'm sure he knows what he's doing isn't right, and now may be worried that you will report him! Poppy sounds like a little angel. And your enthusiasm when you post about her is heartwarming. You are doing a brilliant job as Poppy's Mommie, don't let anyone tell you any different. Just peeked at her pics.... adorable! |
