I have gone out and bought goats milk and maple syrup and made that milk formula up but nooooo she dont want that either. I have added milk to her dog food and mashed it up so much that its actually runny but she wont eat that either. I just dunno what to do? Please help me |

Other things to consider, she maybe teething. Give a bit of NutriCal. |
I phoned the breeder and he was a little abrupt and told me if i didnt want her i could take her back tonight and when i started saying i didnt want to bring her back i just needed some advice he said well just bring her back then! How horrible, he was never like this when we where buying the puppy. I was upset and burst out crying when i came off the phone. I phoned my local vets and explained everything and she said to make sure she is having a syringe of water every hour and 2 syringes of milk every 2hours. I just gave her 2 waters and 2 milk syringers as she has hardly drank anything today. I feel alot better now she has something inside her. Altho when she said bring her down so i can check her out and she told me i would have to pay £100 today... i just have not got that amount of money with paying out £500 for Poppy yesterday and then buying everything i need for her this week which came to over £300. My OH gets paied every week so i told her i wouldnt be able to pay that amount out untill friday an she told me they cant see her without immediate payment, i burst out crying on the phone and she told me to phone the PDSA down Newcastle 40 minutes from me. As me and my OH are both in full time work there is no way they would even consider us. I am mad and upset that my baby needs medical care and no vet will even look at her because i cant pay untill friday!!! How stupid!!! Well she has her fluids in her now so i am happy about that, Ugh so upset and angry right now. |

It's funny I was going to post to see if your breeder called you to see how you are doing. You and hubby are both working full time? What happens Wed when you go back to work? Will someone be able to be with her during the day when you are away? If you look back on your thread Beamers Mom posted what the law is in England and he is in contravention of this law by releasing a puppy too early. In terms of food remember what Mardelin suggested, a bit of grated Parmesan cheese might help that appetite. I'm sorry I don't know what your options for vet care are in England Maybe Beamers MOm who lived there will know. I know you don't want to hear this right now, you've already bonded with your poppy, but maybe sending her back to the breeders, and having them keep your poppy until older (12wks or so) is the best solution at this time. |
I was wondering why the thumb down for such a happy occasion. I see it's been more stressful than an exciting happy time that it should be. Hang in there! You've already received great advice. Make sure she pees and poops. You probably can't get her to eat anymore if there isn't any room in her little body for it. :) |

Yes, of course the breeder was nice when you began your search and interest. He's a salesman. What I would do, based on the information that was provided you by another member, is report is disreputable breeding practices. It may help you recoup some of the money you have spent, but if nothing else it can protect other buyers from this horrible man. One thing I want you to keep in mind is that your baby is in a new location. It is very normal for an adjustment period and slowing or not eating for a day or two is normal. You just have to remain vigilant. She will pick up real quick. She is getting to know you and trust you.... |

Me and my bf do work full time but our hours are great. I work 2mins away from where i live so can keep popping back to check on her though out the day. I'll be home an hour at lunch and my bf will be home after me for an hour on his lunch. I have monday and tuesday off work and my OH has thursday off work so she will only be left 2 days this week while we are at work. The breeder is not very help full at all, he speaks to me like i am thick and he is shouting at a naughty child. If i take her back they said they would give me my money back for her and sell her to someone else... in those words. i dont want her to go to another family :( I have not got any cheese in the house but i will pick up some tomorrow. Atleast she is getting her water and milk intake now Thank you all so much for your help xxx |

I called scott michaels vets in Hexham, but its not the amount its just the fact i have not got the emergany call out fee of £100. I can go to my vet appointment tomorrow morning like planned and just pay the £26 for her consultation. All the vets in Hexham have emergancy vet fee and because i aint registered with anyone but scott micheals it would probs be more. I am so glad she has her fluid inside her, i feel better talking to the vet and her telling me how much she should be having so i know the amounts of what she needs. She will have her check up tomorrow to see if she is ok... thank goodness! :) xxxx |

Now your work schedule is very good, and it is so nice you live and work close. Try to play some quiet and restfull background music that will help hopefully both you and she relax. Pick up a book read, laugh with your bf. You also can try a clock ticking underneath a blankie near to her. Now I've been wracking my brains no cheese, umm try a teeny bit of sweet then, mayhap a dollop of maple syrup with her kibble. You've been making the kibble very soft yes? Try using water rather than milk. and make it less soft. See how she responds. Oh yes if she hasn't pooed yet, try what I and Mardelin suggested. the warm wipe. You can do this! You are already such a good Mom. |

Thank you so much. I think i am over worrying, i burst out crying to the vet. Poppy seems fine in herself its me thats not fine. i was just worried because she wasnt getting her fluid inside her but now she is i am more than happy. I will be reporting the breader i think its terrible to let a puppy go to its new home this young. I have paid out ALOT of money for my perfect little girl i did not want to be doing this i wanted to be able to play with her and enjoying her more than i'm worrying. I wouldnt say she wasnt worth every penny tho but i just wish the breeder wasnt such a *****;)!! Thank you again. |

Can i take you home please LOL I feel like i have rescued me little girl god knows what would have happened if she had gone to someone who hadnt done research and had wonderfull people on this site to help them. I hope the two other little puppys he has went to good homes :( I am about to ake her up soon to give her some more water, so i will put a hot wetwipe on her bum and softly rub to stimulate her and see if she goes. I have just gone and bought some maple syrip so i will try dip the tip of the puppy bottle in and see if she will lick that off and start sucking. Ugh what would i do without you guys your all so wonderful xxx |
Your doing great. You are a very good Mommy |
I just seen the most beautiful thing. Poppy stood up and started biting my fingers to play and she WAGGED her tail!!!!! I think the fluid has perked her up abit because she was a right little imp barking at me and playing biting her pink teddys ears i have never seen her so lively it was lovely to see. I limited her play time to 10mins and left her alone to go back to sleep which she did do and is now sleeping in her bed. I whiped her bottom with a warm wetwipe when she woke up and she did a wee a few mins later but still no poop. Maybe that will come in the next few hours. Another miracle is that the lactol puppy milk formula, i was finding it hard mixing it up not knowing how much i need to give to how much water. Well my bf worked it all out for me and it looks alot better than what i was making it so thats fantastic. I think i am getting ontop of this mother melarky hehe!! |
