:confused: Your boy isn't even old enough to breed yet and far from being fjull grown. you don't know how big he will be when he is done growing. I would suggest to you to get him neutered now, before he reaches puberty, or he will be lifting his leg all over your house for the rest of his life. If neutered before they reach 7 months, most males do not mark in fact many don't even lift their legs. But once they reach puberty it becomes instinct and you cannot prevent it. |

Marking is a complex phenomenon that is considered "wired in" behavior, and is governed by the hormone testosterone. Since the testes make the bulk of testosterone, neutering at an early age can reduce the probability of marking. However, the adrenal gland also makes testosterone in both males and females, and if the dog is living with other dogs the adrenal glands pump in to make more. Smells can stimulate the glands to produce more testosterone, and this in tern encourages the marking response. Rule of thumb is if you get them neutered before testes produces enough hormone to enter the blood stream and cause changes in behavior, you can eliminate, indoor marking. All thumb rules go out the window when more dogs enter the picture. |

Wow how much more money is she going to make then you? How can you make a comment like that? Is that what your dog is to you? A money making machine. Did you honestly think you could ask about breeding your dog and give the details you have given and think we would all applaud you and say GO FOR IT!? What your asking about is disgusting. You obviously let information on YT go in one ear and out the other! Isn't your dog still a baby himself? How can you be thinking about "making" money off him already. POOR POOR PUPPY!!:mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:( |
Bailey started lifting his leg to pee at about 14 weeks, he was neutered around 6 months. He has never marked inside. |
