| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | He has a longer face like my boy Rhett (who is supposed to be full yorkie). It may not be "to (show) standard" but he sure is adorable.

| He looks like a Silky puppy to me. But it's so hard to tell. I tend to think my Jackson is a Silky Terrier or Silky/Yorkie, and I've had 5 reputable Silky breeders tell me the same thing. Who knows! Badly-bred Yorkie, or Silky, who cares, he's a total cutie! Here's good comparisons: Amron Silky Terriers: More Information

| Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I was looking for yorkies I called a lady who had an add in the paper. Yes in the paper! She said she had 2 she was selling cheap because they were "UGLY" that was her exact word. Isaid ok thank you and hung up about 10 minutes later I called back and asked her what was so "UGLY" about them? They were not teacup size the legs were a little longer. I said I'd take a ride, when I got there she showed me several yorkies most of them were about 2lbs but my Quincy was a whopping 4.5lbs. and ADORABLE. I love him more than anything. Its been 2yrs now and he weighs 8.5lbs. but Yorkie through and through. i did not get papers because she sold him so cheap she said but I really don't care he's the best pet I could ask for. They love you no matter what!!

| There are a great many Yorkies that don't come close to the breed standard, yet they are 100% Yorkie. My guess is that your guy will be on the larger size, judging by his snout. Funny how so many want to say "Silky" for every Yorkie that isn't textbook. There are actually very few Silkies compared to Yorkies here so chances are that he's Yorkie. Congratulations for both you and Austin! It always lifts me up to see a new puppy parent so in love. And you know the ability to wrap you around their paw is classic Yorkie behavior!

| looks like a yorkie to me, i'm not good at telling from puppy hood, when he's bigger u'll know the difference usually if it's full one way or the other, mixed breeds are harder to tell...but a silky and a yorkie look nothing alike in shape to me as adults...???? |

| Thank you all for your sweet comment about Austin. He is adorable, but, don't let the face fool you. He's one bad boy.lol I guess that's how they are when they are teething and like to bite and play rough. He knows how to go up to my room now going up 15 steps..lol He just doesn't know how to go back down, but that's okay. He's a fast learner and one smart pup! |
