Red flags: - advertises tcups - sells all puppies on FULL registration - according to the contract she sells & ships puppies as early as 8 weeks - she shows a female that she is going to breed that 3lbs - she has a lot of dogs between the Yorkies & poodles. She has 26 poodles listed on puppyfind! - she has a Yorkie site & two poodle websites! No where could I find anything on her site where she does any type of screening of potential buyers at all, a reputable breeder will do that! Lots of info about being able to pay with Paypal, shipping, etc.., but I don't see where she asks anything about the buyer! You should be questioning and screening the breeder and they should be doing the same to you! I know you have been looking for a puppy and asking for advice and information which is great! YTCA is a great place to find reputable breeders. Also at the top of the forum below are stickies that provide good info on what to look for in a breeder and what to stay away from: Yorkies For Sale or Wanted - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community

| Thank You RachelAndSadie.I am so greatful you took the time out to show me all her red flags.I did see the parti that was 3lbs for breeding.Ok I think I will be looking for other breeders.I have called the local vets and stuff.I did find a year old yorkie male that is for sale. The owner is moving in with her parents.I am kinda interested in him.She said he was nutered and all.I have been looking for a female but I am willing to save a male from going to the pound.I can always get a female later. She lives in another town though about a hour drive. Ok there is this other lady at Welcome To Legends Shire Yorkies I did talk to her she said she should have some puppies soon.Does her site look more responsible breeder? Thank You for all the help |

Another sign of a good breeder, not having current puppies available. If there is a waiting list, its a good sign.

This particular line shows me she doesn't have a good understanding of anti-sepsis and could be using this as an "out" to avoid being responsible under a warranty. Esp in light of the fact that she doesn't warrant against coccidia (which isn't killed by bleach any way!)

| She actually called to tell me she sold her female puppy. She said she was going to be 3 lb full grown. That scared me I want at least 4-5lbs and the fact the little puppy has had a couple of hypo spells really worries me. Its really a challenge finding a good breeder. In the past I don't think I would have really thought about it.Now I like to reserch EVERYTHING.It drives my family nuts.I get obsessive about things and need to know all the facts. |
