| outside heat How much is too warm for a Yorkie to just be chilling outside? Not walking or anything, just chilling in the yard for a few hours at a picnic this evening around 5. I would feel better bringing him with me, but i don't want him to be too warm? It's supposed to be around 79 by 5pm. Not humid. |

| That should be fine. It's after mid day, so it'll probably get cooler as the day ends. Make sure you have a bowl of water for him, and you could always put ice in Mango's water. I would also take him nekked to avoid overheating him. Have fun!

| My Charlie doesn't seem to mind this heat, and it's been really hot and humid. His walks have been VERY short and we bring water. But he's out playing outside, mostly early morning and later afternoon. He's been fine with it. (He's 6 months and about 8 pounds.) We make sure we have water outside for him and fresh cold water when he comes in. I'm sure more experienced Yorkie owners will have some advice, too. I know the pavement can be way too hot for their little paws. Charlie is mostly on grass and only on concrete for his short walks before it gets too hot. |

| Okay thanks! I will make sure I bring a lot of water and a cooler to keep some ice in. It will be mostly shade too, where we will be sitting, as far as I know! We will be on the grass on a blanket, so no pavement! |

| Here in Indiana we've been having the aweful heat in the 90's with 70% + humidity. No walking outside here. On top of that, I live in the country and the county fixed the pot holes on our road with a mix of oil and gravel. No walking till that stuff does whatever it needs to so it won't stick to her feet. I will add, Bella is not real happy because I won't take her for her daily walks. |

| It has been in the upper 90s here in Delaware for almost the entire summer! We don't have central AC in the house, but do have window units, even when I leave to go run errands I make sure the fan is blowing directly towards fiona's crate to help cool her off! Even when Im outside, and they are on the deck with me, I have lots of water out there for them, and will hose them down if need be!
