My Charlie doesn't seem to mind this heat, and it's been really hot and humid. His walks have been VERY short and we bring water. But he's out playing outside, mostly early morning and later afternoon. He's been fine with it. (He's 6 months and about 8 pounds.) We make sure we have water outside for him and fresh cold water when he comes in.
I'm sure more experienced Yorkie owners will have some advice, too. I know the pavement can be way too hot for their little paws. Charlie is mostly on grass and only on concrete for his short walks before it gets too hot. |
