| One dog home vs. two or more? I'd like to know how your dogs behave if they're the only dog, or if they're in a home with multiple dogs. My little guy is LAZY. He's quite active in the early morning, he likes to run and play. He's much happier to be in my lap. He's LAZY!! I do know when he's with my daughters pup they go non stop! Is he bored? Is he lazy? He has no interest in any toys. He has a kong that he just blew off, a tennis ball that we throw in the BY, he'll go to it but not bring it back. He's just so attached to me that he won't do anything else! Last edited by Cooper2010; 07-17-2010 at 06:55 PM. |

| Jackson is 1.5yrs old and was never an "only dog" until last summer. He's MY only dog but we lived at home with my mom, stepdad, sister and their dog... but she passed away at the end of last summer. Jackson is a lot different by himself, he definitely sleeps alot more around the house and is more laidback by himself. However at the same time even when by himself he is still always up for a long walk, or a game of fetch outside so he's still fun when by himself But when we go to my dads house with his fenced in big yard with an inground pool and 2 dogs... he's definitely alot more crazy and a ton more energy than usual! I hope to have a second dog at some point but currently in my life, I can't.

| I have two dogs. One is a s**tzhu and the other is my yorkie, Rosie. My s**tzhu had never been an only dog and was getting lonely and at 4 years old, getting after our other dog died. When Rosie (yorkie) came into the house 6 weeks ago, my s**tzhu, Skittles has perked up, loves playing with Rosie and I have seen more zest for life in Skittles. They cuddle up together and sleep, it's sweet. It is a vicious cycle though. When Skittles lost her sister I had to buy Rosie 6 months later. I got Skittles for my previous dog who was lonely after the death of my first dog! |

| We have Gypsy (yorkie) who is 4 yrs old. We got Puff (chi) when she was 2 yrs old cause I thought it would perk her up. Gypsy has always been a cuddler never a playful dog. She was so sick when she was young. We got a boston terrier who Gypsy just always ignored or barked at. Puff and Sophie were good frineds (we just rehomed Sophie due to my medical problems) And we have Seymour a 7 wk old pom. I would never go back to just one pup. It really gives some life to the other dogs. Gypsy seems to play some what with the new puppy. At least she is getting exercise.

| Couver was an only child for almost two years, and I found that he slept a lot. Granted, we did go to the park a lot and he was active there, but at home, he spent a lot of time on the couch. A couple months ago, we added Khloe to our family and Couver has definitely perked up. He is constantly wrestling and competing with her for toys. I can tell he is a much happier dog It's cute... when we come home, he runs to his sister's crate to tell me to let her out. He doesn't want to go anywhere without her

| We've got three. Mine are pretty lazy, especially the baby. The older ones like to play with toys and are pretty active but the younger one is always laying around like a couch potato. He plays, but he is really lazy. They do play with each other even when we aren't here. Sometimes I come home and find toys all over.
