Hi there sorry it took me so long to get back on line. Had a lot going on all at once. I went down there and the man had the nerve to want $300. a piece for them. I will pay that in his medical bills only. Sorry that was mean... his wife is out of town and I think he is tired of taking care of them. I was able to get 4 dogs 3 yorkies and a maltese today. They are pretty matted and smell like urine. What teeth they have is in horrible condition. They have not uttered one little noise the whole day. If you pick them up they just melt into your arms. The one little girl had to have a C Section to get the babies out of her and they did it twice. What people will do to try and get the so called teacup yorkie. They have the nerve to charge the same amount I do and people are buying them up. Its hard to put them down I wish I had more arms. I have already found homes for 2 of the yorkies and the maltese. I still have a real tiny male that was used for studding. He is around 10 years old and has 1 tooth in his mouth. As I said very quiet a real sweetheart he has always lived in the shed. I gave them some chicken, sweet potatos and green beans and they licked their plates clean. There looks to be around 10 or 12 more yorkies and 10 more maltese. I am trying to get him to give them to me tomorrow so we shall see what he does. He wants money and that just is not going to happen. In the mean time I need to find a home for this guy and get lots more shampoo and more arms to help clean them up if and when I get them and than some loving permanent homes. To tell you the truth dealing with the police can be a very long draw out process which isn't getting these babies away from these people. They are old and I don't want to make trouble I just want every furbaby they have on their property and for them never to bred another dog again. So, please pray I get these babies from him very soon....if not I will come up with another plan no worries. I am hoping this will go as quickly and smoothly as possible but believe me if I have to call every news station in the area I will until we get these people shut down.

What can I do to help? If you need help after getting them, I can help with grooming/bathing. As you know, I am relatively close to you so I will be available Sat/Sun if you need some hands. I will pm you my cell phone. I can also get some shampoo and supplies too.

But what if you just threaten to involve the police? Sorry if that sounds mean, but I am on the side of the innocent animals. How many do you think are left?

If the conditions are as bad as you are describing then you need to call the authorities! He will be "encouraged" to turn them over and if he already wants them gone that might be all he needs. If they smell that bad bathing will not help and they probably need to be shaved down. That smell gets into the nail and will not go away until the hair is gone.

Oh no you are not being mean they are. You are right I would love for the police to do something. But you need proof and these good old boys aren't in no hurry to bother a few old people breeding dogs to make a living unless you have some serious obuse videos or something which I do not. I am just promising to do the right thing by these babies and to never allow anyone to breed them. I am just begging him to hand them over no questions no trouble. There is between 20 or 25 yorkies and maltese still in the shed.

I live on the eastern shore of Maryland as well.I can come and get as many as possible. I think this is the same man that was the breeder of poor little Julie. Bless her heart. I called him and asked him why was he still breeding his females that are unhealthy.? He said after a long pause I have cancer and not going to live long. I did not know what to do. I am about 1 hour away if you need me.I can foster pick up ect.Just let me know .Brenda

That makes me sick at my stomach. Sounds like the elderly couple let breeding get out of control. I hope that the babies are ALL rescued and the owners have to answer for the conditions in which they were kept.

I am about three hours away but I would be willing to come and help if my help is needed and my mother who lives 30 minutes from me and is an animal lover would probably be willing to help as well.
