				 | I went to the american lake here in washignton and I thought it would be ok to bring bella. Well, as soon as i got there the safeguard told me that no dogs allowed in the sand. That i had to go only on grass areas.. I was kind of upset as i thought that a lake would be fine! but apparently dogs are not allowed there either! |

				 | I'll give it a try. After all, all they can do is ask me to leave. (:

				 | Bella and Baci have gone to Home Depot, Lowes, Joanne's, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby and for those I use a bag/carrier or stroller. They've only gone walking on their leash to HD and Lowes. We also take them to a couple local restaurants that allow small dogs for patio dining- two pizza places- Mellow Mushroom and Pizza Joint and an upscale sushi place (TakoSushi), and a tapas restaurant (Beesknees). They will even bring out a water dish for Bella and Baci I find it really helpful to bring their stroller so I can secure them in it while we are actually eating.

				 | I wish I could find restaurant friendly places near Charlotte. When I lived in Atlanta, there were tons of stores/restaurants in the city near Grant Park and Centennial Park, and Little Five Points was an awesome pet-friendly place. Khloe is like my 3rd child (my only non-human child), so I hate leaving her home unless I am at work. If a restaurant would welcome my Khloe AND bring her a water bowl, I would be a regular and loyal customer. That's very nice.

				 | I bring Bailey everywhere I go! I can't leave the house without her. She follows me to the door and shows me her sad puppy eyes. I have a carrier that is very simple and doesn't look like a carrier. She knows to 'lay low' in certain places, like supermarkets or restaurants. She goes shopping with me and some places that she is allowed like at Bed, Bath & Beyond, I open the top of the carrier and let her sit in the shopping cart and look around. I also have a back pack for her that she loves to be in so much I sometimes have to wear it around the house. Yorkies are funny creatures! I am so in love.

				 | I've taken Darcy to a few places, the video store, local shops, etc. but anyone that has food will tell you to leave. She's only about 5 lbs so I can carry her and don't use a purse or else I might try some other places... he he

				 | I've taken mine just about everywhere including out to dinner. As long as their quiet the waitress's usually don't notice. We also bought a stroller so that makes it easier to take multiples too. Its funny to walk in the mall with 3 furbabies in a stroller. You should see the looks we get. LOL

				 | We take Lexi everywhere with us too. We plan our vacations with her so I do my homework ahead of time to find places she can go. Also, places with outdoor dining so we can bring her too. She weighs around 5 lbs and fits in her Kwigy Bo carry so most of the time no one knows we have her. She loves it and always just goes to sleep. Don't know what I would do if we had to leave her as she too is part of our family. We really do treat her like one of us If you check out Bringfido.com you might find some help on there for places to take your little ones

				 | I've found quite a few stores in the DC region to be dog-friendly, so long as they're not carrying food (although even a restaurant, Middle Eastern Market, let me bring my dog in one day when I was picking up carry out, for which I am so grateful). Anyway, I have brought my dog into Target, Home Depot, Lowes, and a handful of other places. Usually, I have had him in a sling carry bag. Most people don't even notice him. I really wish places would become more dog-friendly. I really don't understand the ban on bringing dogs into food establishments. When you go to Europe and some other places, people bring their dogs into coffee houses and casual dining places all the time. Clearly, we all live with dogs and are still alive, so they obviously do not pose any significant public health threat. (If this hasn't already been done) it would be GREAT if we could have a regional dog-friendly store listing on here. I would love to know which businesses accommodate dogs in their stores. I would go out of my way to patronize such places with or without my dog.

				 | I take Keoki everywhere but I live in NYC- I smuggle him into grocery stores in his Dog Bag but even when I am in the suburbs I take him everywhere- he's very quiet because I've been doing it since I got him- the only time I don't bring him is when it's too hot outside |

				 | The only place I've noticed where I can take Zoe is Petco and Petsmart. Almost every place has a no pet sign except for dogs that assist others. Even the mall has a big sign at the entrance which states no pets. Today was the first time I took Zoe to a store and it was Petco.
