Bella and Baci have gone to Home Depot, Lowes, Joanne's, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby and for those I use a bag/carrier or stroller. They've only gone walking on their leash to HD and Lowes. We also take them to a couple local restaurants that allow small dogs for patio dining- two pizza places- Mellow Mushroom and Pizza Joint and an upscale sushi place (TakoSushi), and a tapas restaurant (Beesknees). They will even bring out a water dish for Bella and Baci
I find it really helpful to bring their stroller so I can secure them in it while we are actually eating.
