Maybe a vaccine clinic in your county just for rabies (as long as they have emergency care available in case of reaction)?

I live in Lincoln Co., TN and asked my vet. She said when I bring Bonnie in I need to ask for the 3 year, because they routinely just give the 1 year. But they were fine with giving her the 3 yr.

There are one year shots and three year shots. The vet can only sign off on a three year if they gave a three year. To complicate matters further, at least one company sells the one year and three year under different names, but it's the same vaccine (Defensor 1 and 3). This satisfies different states' requirements...

My vet said that it is the same vaccine, just that you can get it for 1 or 3 year. You pay a little more for the 3 year. I get the 3 year. My dogs have all been fine with it, even my 3 pounder.
