I wanted to inform everyone on here especially breeders about a new scam mean't to tug at your compasion. This is extremely important for everyone to read.

Scammers have officially reached an all time low as far as I am concerned. Today I received a call from an AT&T operator stating a I had a TDD call from a lady about my yorkie puppies. I accepted the call and the operator of course translated. The lady wanted to have me email her so we could speak better about her purchasing one of my Yorkie female puppies. She asked to be added to my yahoo messenger to speak more easily without having to go thru the operator. Well I did infact add this lady and after much discussion about my puppies she had expressed interest in Onika which is too young to go home of course at only 4 weeks so she knew she would have to wait for her. Well after our long conversation she says to me she wants to pay me for her thru a Cashier's check or money order. the she say I need to check my email and respond to her. Of course this is the email I received from her:

Hi..
Thanks very much for your response. I would be buying puppy you have for sale so kindly reserve it for me. You have to bear with me that I called with relay service, its because am hearing impaired. I am sending you this email to make final reconfirmation of the puppy which am willing to buy for my son as his birthday present and I also want to let you know that payment will be by certified Check or Money Order. However, I want to alert you on the fact that you will be receiving the Check or Money Order this week or next week and payment will cover your cost and as well as the shipping cost to be paid to the person that will take care of the pickup in your puppy. So please as soon as you receive the payment, get it cashed immediately, deduct the money that accrues to you and send the remaining balance to the Head Office of the company that handles the shipment via Western union. Moreso, I will pay you an extra $100 if you can reserve this for me. So in view of the above, Here are some of the details I will need for final issuance of the Check or Money Order to you.

(1) Full Name
(2) Mailing address, no p.o.box please
(3) your direct telephone number both home and cell.?
{4} Acceptance of my offer
(5} Final asking price

Once you get back to me with all the above informations, the check or money order will be issued out immediately and it will be sent to you.

Well as we all know very well this is a total scam, but these people have officially stooped to a new level. Using a woman who cannot speak suppossidly to tug at heart strings and make us feel more comfortable in taking their fake money orders and such. Please everyone be extra careful with these scammers new tricks!!

Yep its one of many.
I remember when I was looking to buy a new bull dog pup for my boyfriend I had all sorts of scammers emailing me.
Most of them would say they lived locally then say they lived abroad or were just about to move abroud so I would have to pay shipping fees.
Most only ever had 1 photo of the pup which is a dead give away that its a scam.
I even got told from one 'gentlemen' that the breeding pair belonged to his wife, the bitch had puppies then his wife died so he is unable to look after them which is why he was selling them so cheap (we are talking £200 for a bulldog when they usually sell for £1000-£2500 here in England).
It's sick how they can play with a persons feelings like that, but the worst thing is that some people will believe them....

It is interesting to see they are scamming to buy the puppy instead of the usual giving the puppy for free or very cheap scams which are so common. It seems they have sunk to a new low.

Wow! My best friend is hearing impaired and uses those phones to make her appts. She'd just have her husband or someone else call about a puppy if she were buying one. I wonder if the company knows of the scams?

My reply was that I would not be able to sell her one of my puppies. She wanted me to cash a check for $4000.00 keep out the price puppy of my puppy and send the remainder of the $4000.00 to her suppossed shipping company via Western Union. There is way too may scams out there now, but this tactic is an all time new low imo. I guess they figure we would fall for it since they are unsing handicapped techniques now. I don't have a problem with any handicap person, but to use these ploys to scam beople just makes me sooooo darn mad I can't see straight.

I the same letter above from Gloria... My response was I DO NOT SELL MY PUPPIES THAT WAY. A Few days later i got the below from the following Scammer:::: I gave her the same response.

I want you to know that i cant call you directly due to the reason that i have a hearing impairment and am also sorry i wont be able to make my trip down to your place for the pickup and inspection because i just gave birth to a baby and they doctors said i won't be able to go out for the main time and besides i stay in a very remote area far from town and there is no one that i can send to bring the payment to you directly, so i want to let you know that i will be issuing the payment to you via MONEY ORDER and the payment will arrive next day which i will be sending down to your place via FEDEX overnight delivery service..

I hate how these Aholes pretend to be afflicted with disabilities and have brand new babies and live in super duper remote areas (which in most cases don't have internet or mail access either).
why can't they just say I'm a puppy mill and your pups are super cute and I wanna mass breed them until they become super ill and infected then I'm gonna shoot them and leave them for the wildlife out here to snack on.

So what is the scam if they are sending you the money ahead of time and you'll have the money order verified at the bank and then you'll have your money? Are these just puppy millers or serial killers? Made me very nervous after reading the email and then hearing ya'lls stories confirmed it.

It's not a legitmate money order, and they don't even want the puppy, they just want you to deduct you money for it and give them real money back in change. The problem is the bank will cash it, they don't know it's not legit either, but several months later they find out about this and the amount is deducted from your bank account. This same scam works for people selling just about anything.

Oh okay I see, I thought the bank would be able to know it immediately if it was fake or not. Hmm.. that is interesting.. hopefully no one takes the bait. As soon as I seen all the complicated orders I said hmm... something don't seem right but I didn't even think of the money thing. Wow.

Yeah, most people think this, that's why the scam is so effective, the bank will even tell people it looks good, it's only months later they find out that it's not.
