Note: Only International All Breed Canine Association National Titles signed Gayle Pruett and/or Myrna Torres are affected by this problem so far.


Warning to All Biewer Breeders and Owners:

It has recently been brought to our attention by several Biewer owners that there are some “National” Titles issued to Biewer owners that contain false information. It appears there are some National titles issued to Dogs under the heading of International All Breed Canine Association of America, having the Logo of International All Breed Canine Association of America (IABCA) and the UCI logo. The problem is that it appears the titles are signed listing Gayle Pruett as the President of IABCA and Myrna Torres as Secretary of IABCA. This is incorrect and people getting such titles have been misled. In fact, neither woman has ever worked for IABCA, nor have they ever been an officer of IABCA. Therefore any National Title with International All Breed Canine Association of America heading that is signed with the two above mentioned women are not valid titles. Again, to identify these titles make sure the top of the title states International All Breed Canine Assoc. of America and carries the IABCA logo, and is signed naming either person (Gayle or Myrna) as IABCA President and/or Secretary.

There appears to be an additional problem with some of these titles. They seem to have also been issued incorrectly. It appears that puppies have been issued the adult National IABCA title. Puppies cannot be issued the adult titles. There are puppy National titles that are issued corresponding to their age at time of earning said title. The puppy titles clearly state National Baby; or National Jungsten; or National Jugend and National Junghund. Not just the word National Title Diplom. If your National Title from IABCA is signed by Jeff Bridegum as President and Brooke Bridegum as Secretary there is no problem. These titles are valid.

Investigation:
We at the IABCA are investigating the problem and what actions need to be taken. We need to know if there are others involved in the issuing of these false and incorrect titles. If you have any information regarding this matter we would appreciate your contacting the IABCA either by email (by replying to this letter) or by phone to Deb Bridegum at (503) 580-1838.

Solution: We do not want our exhibitors to be left holding an invalid title. If you hold one of these problematic National Titles wrongfully issued from someone other than IABCA, signed by Gayle Pruett and/or Myrna, IABCA intends to help you correct this problem.

Replacement of fraudulent titles:
IABCA will help you correct the problem title. You will need to send the original false title to us at IABCA:

You will also need to send $10.00 to have your title replaced. (You need to keep a copy of the incorrect title for further actions, you must send us the original.) We will then issue valid and correct National Titles and the appropriate National Puppy Titles.

We hope that the wronged exhibitors are able to receive a refund from those that issued the invalid IABCA National Titles. If you wish a letter from IABCA stating your title was wrongly issued we will be happy to provide one once we receive the original invalid National Title signed Gayle Pruett and/or Myrna Torres.

This applies to any rare breed show exhibitors who have shown with IABCA in the last year or so.

This was done by the Biewer Terrier club president and secretary. BTCA. They lied about show champions and put titles on dogs sell puppies and to make their club look legitimate.
Absolutely shameful. Gayle Pruett has done nothing positive for the Biewers, all she has accomplished is to discredit the breed.

She is not a DVM. She is not a Doctor of anything. If she identifies herself as one, that would be fradulent.

The email below shows where Gayle posed as a veterinarian to the Mars company. It is so sad that someone would stoop this low.

Please let me introduce myself – I am the Technical Support and Research and Development Manager for Mars Veterinary and I have recently moved into this role to replace Dr Paul Jones who has moved on to other projects within the company. I am contacting you on behalf of Mars Veterinary as I have been given your contact information regarding your recent correspondence with our customer care team.
From that correspondence I believe that you have previously sent us some Biewer Terrier blood samples (specifically XXXXXXXXXX and XXXXX), that Paul used in the research project he has been co-ordinating with Dr Gayle Pruett DVM and the Biewer Terrier breed club. It would appear from your e-mail that for some reason that Paul has not sent you a Wisdom Panel report for each of the submitted samples. I apologize for this oversight and am very happy to resolve this situation as efficiently as possible.



I will attempt to contact Paul today and discover where the sample data for this research project is and the status of it, and should be able to return a report a electronic copy of the report to you as soon as I locate the data. Being an R&D sample it is not in our normal commercial database and so our research archive will need to be searched. Unfortunately being the holiday period our team is mostly on vacation now and therefore it may take me longer than I would normally locate to find the data (I am currently travelling).

Fabulous... just fabulous!! I feel sorry for those owners who have been scammed. It makes us ALL look suspicious. How are new owners suppose to trust any of us? It's sad. Lying always has a way of catching up to you, but I hate how it affects our Biewers and good people who want to support them.:(

I agree it is sad and is very bad for our breed. SHAME ON THEM!!!!!

Right about now all of the members of the BTCA should be having an emergency meeting to decide if they want to try to save the BTCA by requesting that Gayle Pruett, Myrna Torres and her coharts resign from the BTCA club period. They have used this club for their own selfish benefit from the very get go. They have hurt and tried to destroy an awful lot of good sincere people that they thought got in their way, honest breeders and just innocent people interested in this new breed. People that are honestly trying to establish this new breed and get it recognized by the AKC and the general public. They have done more damage by their own behavior to this new breed than any group. They have lied, manufactured stories, been rude and obnoxius to innocent people just asking simple questions about the Biewers. They have tried to destroy certain blood lines in the breeding program.

Now is the time for all the people that have been hurt or damaged by the BTCA and its President to come forward and again be heard. To fully investigate any thing that has been initiated by the BTCA and its President. If she has been dishonest about issuing the IABCA certificate, then all other information/programs started by her should now be questioned, especially anything involved in sending money to her.

BTCA members you are judged by the company you keep!!! If Ms. Pruett refuses to resign from the club then I would want to disassociate myself from her and the club as soon as possible.
This snowball has just begun to roll downhill.

I was at an Vet. Conference here in Orlando and met with The Mars people and was info by the Vet. manning the booth that he was working very closely with Dr Gayle Pruett.. I personally have been lied to and used by the BTCA and paid monies and donations for their rescue and to their Registry for one of my Biewers. I wonder how many others she has dupe in the name of a love for the breed?? Man Karma is a B***H! I hope they all finally get their rewards.. I pray that the innocent are taken care of. I was taken in for awhile.. I know personally how easier they can manipulate trusting people. I hope the Biewer Breeders will not be confused by the Terrier breeders after all they said it was a different breed than ours!! Shame on you both Shame. How could you do this. Was it greed or being known? Well you are known now!! Too bad, I'm sure in the beginning you were both wanting to help but it just got to big for you all to control or was it just losing your patience that pushed you to do this to everyone.

Gayle loves going to court and has hauled many of us into court over her lies and nonsense.
A few of her members have followed her orders and should be included in my opinion....as Jenny Lam of Lamborghini Biewers in California has defamed myself over lies that G.P. has told her. G.P. loves to say that others breed liver shunt so that people interested in their dogs drop them like a rock and buy hers. Just ask Jenny Lam.

I join the other Biewers fanciers and breeders in saying that this is a sad incident in the history of this beautiful breed. I am just hoping that this event can spark some open discussions between breeders and fanciers as to how we can work collectively towards the betterment of the breed, begin to open up healthy, strong lines to eachother and act as an unified voice to promote the breed. OK, getting off my soapbox and removing my rose colored glasses ;)

I have no ties to nor am I am member of ANY Biewer club. The constant bickering and high and mighty attitudes quickly told me there were more politics involving Biewers than than I cared for. But the way people involved with the breed present themselves leaves a lasting impression...so when something like this is brought to light, it is indeed, as someone else said, "interesting."

I'm not the one to tell you how Mrs. Biewer feels, but your statement makes ME sad. I totally understand why you feel this way and it IS a constant battle we face to promote and protect the breed. Unfortunately a first impression is a lasting one, whether good or bad. I just have to believe given enough time, the truth will prevail and a universal club will rise to the top as it did in the Yorkie world. I'd say to you that their are many of us who are really nice people and then.... there are others. We love our dogs and would love for you, as an adoptee, to enjoy them as well. My dogs make me sooo happy and as a hobby breeder I just want to share a little of that with others.

I'm sure this coming week will bring Gayle's attempts at explaining her mistakes at forgery, fraud, theft, mail fraud, etc. while patting herself on the back for all the great steps she has taken for this breed. Never mind the folks she has hurt, lied about, reputations she tried to destroyed in her club as well as the ones no longer in her club.

None of this surprises me and this "person" has tried to ruin the breed for everyone else. I have been harassed and have proof of others who have had it happen to them as well. I had nasty notes left on my guestbook, ugly emails, excessive phone call attempts, etc. for absolutely no reason. I don't personally know her or anyone in that club, and neither did the friends of mine who were harassed, so I suppose they were just out "messing" with every single Biewer breeder they could find. Many of the things they have done are ridiculous. :rolleyes:

I am sure "they" will clearly place the blame for all of this on someone else.

I believe that's been tried already. Think about the time between their specialty when all this started and yesterday when we all received this email from IABCA.. This is not hearsay.. It took a lot for them, the IABCA, to send us all the email. They would try to work this out first!! I think this is real and valid and she is now facing the music.. I think IABCA is serious! If they were going to smooze this it would have already been smoozed.. Misunderstanding would not have named names. They would have simply said there was a problem with the paperwork and could we return their paperwork they would return the proper paperwork.. Mistakes happen and over sight happens..Probably with no cost to the owners..

I believe that this is prove that some of the bickering going on between the different clubs are not bickering at all but actually well founded concerns.

All Biewer owners, breeders, fanciers etc need to unite.
It is my opinion that ALL Biewers that are not mix bred, should be registered in Germany and the German heritage of this breed should continue.
Mrs. Biewer should be made aware of what she truly signed and not what she thought she signed. Mrs. Biewer does not read, write or speak English. Signing something under false pretenses is illegal.
I pray that the German heritage of this breed is replaced back where it should be and they should go on to be Biewer Yorkie Terrier Ala Pom Pons as their history is from their originator.
How many people did Gayle Pruett convince they did not need a German registry? How many have not been provided? These people are her victims too. She ran a registry and told everyone the German registries were no good and not needed. She changed the standard to suit herself. How many registrations have been forged? I am aware of one breeder that sold her a dog that she then claimed was from her breeding, it was not. She had the name changed etc. to make it look like it was her dog. Changed the birthdate etc, by a few days. How many of us has she dragged into court with her many lies?
If you ever sent her $1. you are more than likely a victim of her venomous web of lies and deceitful doings.
We all need to write and expose her for her lies and unite as one to save this breed from her wrath.
Mrs. Biewer needs to be aware and undo what she was deceived into before that chance is lost forever.

Gayle Pruett was one a standard Yorkie breeder for many years....standard Yorkie owners should also be scared crapless if they have one of her dogs.

I think most of us agree, whether we are in the other two clubs or not. The BTCA has a lot of good caring people there but their leadership has been allowed to run their reputation in to the ground while being told by the leadership how wonderful they are and how horrible the others are. I've been on both sides of the fence personally. The other clubs are a great bunch of caring breed enthusiasts. Stopping listening to them come to meet the others. Open your minds. Think for yourself. You do not have to join a club but at least open up the lines of discussion and let's all work together finally to get this breed where is deserves to be. Biewers are truly a friendly wonderful happy loving breed why can't the fanciers be so too?

Weird...maybe a mistake? Or is it that she was trying to tell Biewer people about a Biewer thread instead of bogging down YT?
I think it would be great to have a gentle thread to discuss the Biewers yorkies.
