| Hair on ear won't grow!! I took my Sasha to get groomed a little over two months ago and they shaved her ears down, and gave her a yorkie hair cut. But, the hair on her ears won't grow back! it's like completely skin and no hair! Is there anything I could do to fix it?????

| Yes she is. Sasha has a birth defect that is very rare. Her surgeon has been doing surgeries for 40 years and has only seen about 3 of Sasha's case in his life. Her portal vein is connecting to her vena cava instead of her liver. There is no shunt to fix because of this. I was really sad at first but she is doing great. Now, DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MAKE HER EAR HAIR GROW!!!!!???

I think her hair will be slow to grow back due to her protein restricted diet. I would investigate any topical formulations available, but check with your vet to be sure they do not contain anything that would be harmful to her.

| I am glad she is doing good.....If there was hair there, and it was just cut off, I am sure over time it will grow back. I have discoved the older you get, you start growing hair in places you never did before, like your ears! |
