I'm so sorry... I totally missed seeing this thread.... glad she's doing well. Wow. It's a good thing you went to UT, a less experienced vet may not have known what was going on....
I think her hair will be slow to grow back due to her protein restricted diet. I would investigate any topical formulations available, but check with your vet to be sure they do not contain anything that would be harmful to her.
