| When Chachi had the runs the vet had me give him keopectate. If it keeps up she might need an antibiotic too.

| lexi is doing fine she has not pooped all day well not since early a.m. I called my ucnle in oregon who is a vet...wasn't able to before since he was away on business, he stated she should be fine till tomm a.m. when i take her to the vet here in mississippi. She is on pedialyte,chicken and rice. SHe is doing fine, playing, barking, being my lexi. Thank you so much. I will tell you what the doc says tomm laura

| You can also give Pepto Bismol or Kaopectate. 1/2 teaspoon if your dog is 5 lbs. See this website: http://www.shakervet.com/tv_topics20.htm I have used the Pepto Bismol and it does help. |

| thank you for all of your thoughts just got back from the vet, they gave her diarsanyl to coat her stomatch and intestinal track, she will be on it for three days twice a day. They told me continue on the rice and chicken for another 24 hours then try to reintroduce her food slowly. If the poopies should persist call them back tomm and they will examine her. Hopefully the meds will work. Thank you for your concern, everyone in YT is awesome....i really appriciate all the advice i would never have know to do rice and chicken AND IT WORKED I would also like to thank you for the link of home remedies.....great idea I am sure this knowledge will come in handy thank you thank you thank you I will keep everyone posted the next few days

| the meds are working!!!! Lexi had her first hard stool today...she hasn't had one since last thrusday. Yippeeeeee, she is getting better. We are going to start to introduce kibble today with her chicken and rice, i will let you know how it goes.
