I would never leave my kids in the car so why would i leave my dog? I wouldn't! I don't like sitting in the car without the AC running so I would not expect him to either

| Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think my boys like taking him places almost more than I do because they have realized that all the girls talk to them if they have the dog with them

| I was in a pet store in Springfield, MO and was told that GIRL dogs are welcome to walk but BOY dogs can't because they tend to lift their legs on everything. They watch you come in the door to see if you have a boy or girl dog.

| I always carry Rusty in stores because I am totally afraid he would mark something LOL! Even though he has not done it since he was neutered my luck that would be the time he would pick to do it then I would be stuck buying something I didnt need or want

| This is so funny - just yesterday we were going to walk to a thrift store (second hand store) with our pup. I thought for sure he'd be allowed but I phoned just in case and asked if it would be okay if I carried him in the store - I was told very firmly that no dogs are allowed??? You never know I guess. |

| I take my Tessa to all stores, I don't ask when I go in! Walmart tells me to leave if they see her (I don't go near the food section when I have her). She is always in her baby sling, so employees don't even know I have a dog unless she sneaks her head out. It also depends on the employee that you run into!! After months of taking Tessa into the Dollar General, one day one employee saw her and told me she couldn't come in--so now i go to the Family Dollar Store instead!! My local Kroger grocery store doesn't care that she comes in--they even asked where she was one day when I didn't have her with me. |

| Surprisingly, the Habitate for Humanity store does not allow dogs!! Can't understand that, if you are carrying them. When I go to my Kroger, I take the sling off, put it in the child's seat, and Tessa just sits there and looks around!! |
