I agree with advice given above to feed the dogs at the same time, but not in the same place. Someone who has experience adding a puppy can advise better, but maybe put the puppy in an xpen with food, and your older boy outside the xpen with his food? I separated my boys with a baby gate at meal times in the beginning, but my second dog was already 8 months old when I brought him home.

I also think the older dog needs to get just as much as attention as your puppy bc your older dog is adjusting to the puppy and you want the older dog to love the puppy. I still seperate Pixie and Daisy when they eat. Pixie goes in her ex-pen and Daisy eats outside the pen.
Dogs need a schedule just like children it makes them feel secure.
