| I understand that you are new to the breed. You should know that nothing is a guarantee. Your best bet is to understand the standard weights of these babies, it's hard to go by what you were told by the breeder. In my opinion 81/2 lbs is not too heavy. Mine range from 13lbs all the way down to 4lbs. Go figure

| Uh-oh, you say the breeder "claim" his parents were 4.5 lbs? Does that mean you did not get to see the parents for yourself? A breeder(a not so good breeder that is) can/will tell a potential buyer anything, instead of giving you the facts. If they are well aware of their lines & pedigree, history, they can probably have given you a more believeable "guess" as to what size he would have been. You still can't really hold on to that....just enjoy watching him grow. But I've learned and am learning too. 3 out of my 5 are in the 8-9lb range.

| By the way I saw both of the parents and mine were supposed to be 5 and 3 ls and they are 6 1/2 and 11 lbs. Theres no quarantee on the adult weight unless you buy an adult
