Uh-oh, you say the breeder "claim" his parents were 4.5 lbs? Does that mean you did not get to see the parents for yourself? A breeder(a not so good breeder that is) can/will tell a potential buyer anything, instead of giving you the facts. If they are well aware of their lines & pedigree, history, they can probably have given you a more believeable "guess" as to what size he would have been. You still can't really hold on to that....just enjoy watching him grow. But I've learned and am learning too. 3 out of my 5 are in the 8-9lb range.
