We'll probably leave it open bc we may need to bump it occasionally ;). S'alright if people need to be bumpy for a bit, it clears some of the air and gets feelings in the open :).

I disagree - you can hurt someone just as bad by words as you can by physically striking them. Child or Adult - it doesn't matter - they both hurt.

One case that comes to mind is the young HS girl from Ireland that commited suicide after being bullied by other HS students - via the internet. I guess someone forgot to tell her it wouldn't hurt so bad if she just turned off the computer.

How can we judge how severe our words hurt someone else? Is there a gauge somewhere that tells us just how far we can go? Not that I know of.

Calling people names - hurts. Some more than others - but they all hurt!

No one is dictating to anyone how they should post - only that there are times that people are crossing the line - and it needs to stop.

Yes, there are going to be times that people disagree - and it's ok to disagree... but it's not ok to take it to the extremes that it has been. It's just NOT ok.

This forum IS big enough for everyone. It does not consist of just 6 members. If someone wants to add to the discussion - they have every right to - as long as it's respectful.

Some people are knowledgable about breeding - some about showing - some on rescues - and some on medical. But there is definitely more than one in each category and they all have the right to participate and offer their experiences or opinions - whatever that may be - without the fear of humiliation from a few that think they're the only ones with any knowledge or experience.

I really need to ask you at this point why you have quoted my post at least 3 times and are specifically targeting what I said? I've seen my email notifications and when I have come back to the thread your posts along with my quoted post have been removed. Do you have a specific issue with me because if you do then I suggest if it is burning so badly to PM me directly. Since it has already been decided on 3 different occasion to remove your previous posts then why are you continuing? :confused:

I don't like to indulge pm's about disagreements or differences in opinions. What I have to say can and will be said in the forum so that I'm never misquoted.

All I can say about PMs and emails regarding myself is that you have absolutely NO IDEA the amount of harassment that I have been subjected to both on this forum, other forums, via emails, PM and even phone calls. So to try to imply that I am a bully is beyond my comprehension.

But I know that my reasons for being a member of YT is for the love of the "D" word and I am not talking about drama.

As for the aforementioned communications they are being handled by the appropriate people included but not limited to this forum, facebook and also locally. At this point I am trying to take the high road and move on and am hope that you will too. :)

I first 'met' Ann by sending her a PM....disagreeing with her over her decision on closing a thread. We went back and forth with PMs and, at first, it seemed that we were at loggerheads with each other. She did, however, take the time to explain her decision, just as I explained my opinion of it. We ended that series of PMs on a good note, with each understanding the other's position. While it didn't change the outcome LOL, we did both get a chance to know each other a bit and I have considered her my friend ever since then.

The mods and admin. do have a very tough job keeping this forum from turning into the wild west and do a wonderful job of it. If you have a disagreement with them, I can tell you that you can let your feelings be known to them and they will do their best to explain their actions. It may not change anything in that one instance, but may give them something to consider if another similar instance should arise.

We are all human and our perspectives do change. This is true of all of us...mods and admin. included. I know from experience that they do appreciate respectful feedback. It is part of the dynamic of this forum and one shouldn't feel that they cannot express themselves to Ann, the other mods and administration.

For their efforts, I give all these very hard working folks :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: :).

Woogie Man - I would like to say something to you that I have been meaning to do for quite some time, and that is to say "Thank You"!

I always enjoy your posts - whether I agree with them or not (and most of the time - I do).

When you post, you take the time to explain things fully which seems to take the edge off of any heated subject.

Gosh...thanks, ladies. Though we've never had any one on one conversations, I enjoy your posts, too. And nobody ever said we had to agree all the time. Would be a mighty boring world if we did.

I know for myself that I've changed certain opinions I've had due to others postings. There is something here for ALL of us to learn and I love the back and forth. We should all reserve the right to change our opinions and to be wrong at times. I've exercised that right more than once :D.

I miss FL Debra's postings, too. Hope she's doing well.

I remember that exactly, Jim :). And to this day, I'm so glad you disagreed with me :p and PMd me, bc that opened the door for me to get to know you. And, I feel lucky to have made a friend. Like others, I enjoy your posts so much and appreciate the fact that you always stay calm, even during a storm...or...a full moon :D. You have helped so many people here at YT :).

Ann I completely agree. It's not an easy job. I am an Admin. on another forum with a much smaller member base but it is hard having to be the one to step in and keep the peace. You always have people questioning you about what you do to keep the peace.
So I commend you and all the other Moderators and Admin for doing a wonderful job.

Hey Cooper2010! :) I just wanted to say to you and anyone else that ever has a question about their posts or ANYTHING, just send a PM to Ann or Admin. I have sent several to Ann when I didn't understand something going on and she has ALWAYS responded to me in a professional and polite PM back. :) This message is not to brown nose or butt kiss, just wanted to make sure any "newbie" who may read this in the future, they are there to help.

I totally didn't realize you're a moderator. I was like I wonder why Wylie's Moms name is in red. I agree with this post entirely and understand different variables call for different plans of action. I try to primarily talk about Darla on here and help out to answer what questions I can. :)
