Yorkie Yakker | leeches(slugs) I am having a real bad problem with leeches in my back yard at night and I am afraid my Yorkie is going to eat them when I take him out to potty. Can anyone tell me how to get rid or control them? |

Don't know about leeches, but I doubt that your doggie would willingly munch on a slug. Their slimy secretions are their defense mechanism and it has a bitter taste that most animals avoid. (Too much nature channel.) Last edited by BamaFan121s; 05-28-2010 at 04:26 AM. | |

| My neighbors use a half of a can of beer placed throughout their yard. The slugs are attracted to something in the beer, so they crawl in the can, and drown. The problem would be getting someone to remove the can once it's full.
