| Anyone know what kind of Yorkie this is? I'm babysitting this little lovebug, and I'm trying to find a Yorkie like him. Most of the ones I've found are nothing like him. Does anyone know what he's mixed with? I've attached a pic. Thanks! |

| Why do you think he is mixed?

| I think he is mixed because every other Yorkie I've looked at has no hair on their ears like this guy does (which really is half his charm) and also they have long tails, whereas this one has a little snub tail. |

| I think he looks Yorkie. Lots of Yorkies grow hair on their ears, some "parents" just choose to clip it off, and lots of Yorkies have docked tails. The fella in the picture is a real cutie. You would have to look for an adult if you are wanting a specific adult look though. Perhaps you should look at a rescue.

| I kind of thought that too, but I've been looking at Silkies and no luck so far. This guy is just special somehow and has an amazing personality, loves to play, etc. Wish I knew what he was! Maybe I'll keep looking at Silkies and see what happens. Thanks! |

| He just looks like an adorable yorkie with large hairy ears to me! LOL. His tail was probably docked when he was a baby. More yorkies than not have docked tails. |

I've been looking almost exclusively at rescues. I just need to make sure I'm looking for the right one so that I'm not wasting everyone's time. So far I've met 4 dogs, and each one was vastly different and nothing like the one I'm looking for. Oh well, I'll keep looking Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it!

Cool thanks! I will keep the faith! I really need to find a dog like this one. We're in LOVE with him! I would pay the owners a lot for him, but they're so attached and would never give him up!

| He looks yorkie to me. Most people keep the hair trimmed shorter on the ears. His has just been allowed to grow out. |

| Aww, he is adorable!! Looks all yorkie to me!! As for the hair on the ears go, that is just a grooming choice. Most shave the ears. I keep my girls hair on their ears long because I love that look. As for the tail, yorkies typically have docked tails. The standard calls for it. Here's some pictures of my girls...

| It's just a preference of haircut. Some like the hair on the ears like this and other shave the top of the ears (which is what we do). Any yorkie can look like this if you don't cut their hair.
