| My new yorkie baby I have wanted a yorkie for as long as I can remember and my husband would never let me get one because they were too expensive or we didnt have the time or he would come up with some other excuse. 2 weeks ago today I finally talked him into it and I got my first little girl. She is 3 1/2 months old and weighs 1 lb 14 oz she is the love of my life. I cry sometimes just looking at her because I just cant believe I finally have her after waiting for her so long. I hope to have many long and loving years with her and p.s. my husband loves her just as much as I do!!! oh yeah and her name is Chloe |

My fiance didn't want Syd at all. But she was a decision I had already made before him and I met...and I was just waiting for her to be born. He was afraid that she would be messy, loud, annoying, and change our lifestyle. Now the two of them are in love. Nothing is more heartwarming than to see a 6"1' 26-year-old guy get all googy over a 5 lb. yorkie wearing a pink sweater and hairbow! | |

| Congratulations!! You are going to have such a good time! I know what you mean about crying. Sometimes I look at my fur babies and just grit my teeth, I love them so much! They just can't be any cuter! My little boy Yorkie is a lovebug...he gives the best kisses in the world-he looks at me so lovingly, then just lays a kiss either right on my lips or up my nostril (we call it the eskimo-french kiss). My little girl Yorkie is more reserved, but if you get a kiss from her, it's something special. Have fun! Your husband is going to love Chloe as much or more than you!

| I'm totally different. My husband and my daughters wanted a dog in the house badly. They kept begging me and I just kept saying no, no way. I've no time to handle a dog. Then I was browsing some dogs website and found the term "teacup" and it says they're small dogs. So, I told my husband I'll consider teacup dogs. He did some research and showed me "teacup yorkies". At that time, I didn't know there's no such thing as teacup yorkie. However, I just fell in love with the yorkie face. He was on a business trip in Montreal and he went to see a breeder who claims breed only "teacup yorkie and always guarantee full grown less than 4 lbs". He saw her puppies and really like her yorkies but it costs $2500 for female and $2000 for male. If I take a female and a male, it'll be $3800. He almost brought them home. I stopped him because I wanted to do more research on small yorkies. I found out they need a lot of attention and care. I work full time and it is impossible for me to take care of a small yorkie puppy that might require feeding every 2 hours and make sure the puppy doesn't have hypoglycermia. So I gave up the idea of having a small yorkie. We bought our present yorkie from a local breeder and he is the runt. I'd no intention of buying him before I went. My husband didn't give me pressure but he said "let's go see this breeder and she has some yorkie puppies. You can decide later if you're ready to have the puppy" I went there and I fell in love of Spikey. He was so cute and I knew at that moment, he was going to be a part of our family. He is not a small yorkie and will weigh more than 4 lbs but less than 7 lbs (standard size). I'm so glad he came into our lives. He brought a lot of joy. I was the one who didn't want a dog and now I ended up spending more time with him than anybody else in the house. |

| Welcome to YT!!!!! I'm so glad you have a new little Yorkie. They really are the best. I wanted one for a really long time too. I was out numbered for years!!!!! My husband and two boys, wanted "a real dog" OH my, my heart wanted a Yorkie. We got a Rottie instead. Yes, I loved Roxanne, she was the best (she passed away two years ago at almost 12 years old) Always right with me. But I really wanted a Yorkie. Seven years ago, we added to our family. We adopted three wonderful childern from the school I worked at. They lost their family, so I added them to ours. I didn't want them to end up as State Children, because that's where they were headed. Any way, the numbers changed, we now have five children, three boys and two girls. The girls were on my side, and wanted a Yorkie too. I think it helped, me showing them lots of pictures of Yorkies, and looking at the pretty dresses too. They were never alowed to have pets. But they sure have them now. Five years ago I was very sick and our children thought a puppy would make me better. So they brought home Poncho, a Chihuauua. Oh how sweet he is, but not a Yorkie. Then almost three years ago, a friend called, her friend had a Yorkie for sale. My husband said no, but the next day, when he called from his office to see what I was doing. I had to tell him I was playing with Princess, my new Yorkie baby. He came home and fell in love with her. How happy I was, now our girls and I have a great time buying cute stuff for our "REAL" furbaby Princess.

| Welcome to YT and to the world of "being owned by a Yorkie". I feel sorry for your hubby. For 2 reasons. One is-crow is very hard to eat and two-- one is never enough...I am glad you have a Yorkie to add to your home.. |
