I'm totally different. My husband and my daughters wanted a dog in the house badly. They kept begging me and I just kept saying no, no way. I've no time to handle a dog. Then I was browsing some dogs website and found the term "teacup" and it says they're small dogs. So, I told my husband I'll consider teacup dogs. He did some research and showed me "teacup yorkies". At that time, I didn't know there's no such thing as teacup yorkie. However, I just fell in love with the yorkie face. He was on a business trip in Montreal and he went to see a breeder who claims breed only "teacup yorkie and always guarantee full grown less than 4 lbs". He saw her puppies and really like her yorkies but it costs $2500 for female and $2000 for male. If I take a female and a male, it'll be $3800. He almost brought them home. I stopped him because I wanted to do more research on small yorkies. I found out they need a lot of attention and care. I work full time and it is impossible for me to take care of a small yorkie puppy that might require feeding every 2 hours and make sure the puppy doesn't have hypoglycermia. So I gave up the idea of having a small yorkie.

We bought our present yorkie from a local breeder and he is the runt. I'd no intention of buying him before I went. My husband didn't give me pressure but he said "let's go see this breeder and she has some yorkie puppies. You can decide later if you're ready to have the puppy" I went there and I fell in love of Spikey. He was so cute and I knew at that moment, he was going to be a part of our family. He is not a small yorkie and will weigh more than 4 lbs but less than 7 lbs (standard size).
I'm so glad he came into our lives. He brought a lot of joy. I was the one who didn't want a dog and now I ended up spending more time with him than anybody else in the house.
