magic always has his hair in topknot and it is really easy to find boy bows. His hair is very thick and i have to do 2 ponytails one right behind the other and hook them together to keep the topknot from falling in his eyes. but when i put the bow in you can't tell about the 2 ponytails. i usually take out at night to give his head a rest.

The males I have had wear the fanciest bows they make...one cost me $20.. but you can buy those tiny, plain bands at Walmart..they are clothe and stretchy...all color, even black and white.. | |

Thanks everyone, you make me feel much better ! I was starting to think I was weird for wanting to do this so I'm glad to hear that it's so widely accepted! I'll definitely be putting bows in Nikko's hair and I'm loving the links some of you posted! The pics of Cooper are priceless, thanks for posting! It looks like he was a really good sport about it, what a cutie!

I just ponytail Jaspers hair most of the time when he is just lounging in the house or outside pestering everyone. When we go to the nursing home, to the pet store, or walks he gets "dressed up". Poor guy even acts different with his "sissy bow" (my kids say that). He is such a sweet dog and mellow but when the bow goes on he usually hangs his head down and sighs..It is so funny but then he perks up when he sees the elderly or the special ed kids. But without a bow or ponytail his hair is all in his eyes and he looks like a madman. So no options really.

I used to do that with Puddie's hair, pulled it back towards the back of his head and just put a band on it. It worked well, but then I started having him cut with a visor, so no more Ninja Knot! But calling it that got a lot more approval from the males around us
