| how long do they remember I have wondered seeing another post on here, if you have a dog for at least a year will he always remember you? Does the dogs memory depend on the length of time you've been together? Any knowledge about this, anyone? I would hope my dogs would always remember me. |

| I wonder too. I start a short video on a soldier returning home and is dogs remembered him after (I think) 1 year. there was not hesitation at all.

| oh I think they absolutely remember no matter how long it is...remember your scent will jog their memory too...

| Well I was told that they remember on sight..and I think that may be right... Also tones of the voice etc. We have some friends who we don't see very often but when I mention their names Dustie runs to the door to see if they are there...!! I also think they remember people by association..i.e. if someone walks them..and you say walkies they will look for that person etc. My Yorkies were always like that...Dustie has yet to get to that stage really..
