|  I have one floppy eared (Smokey) and one that has his ears up (Chip). We never taped Chips ears but were told to shave the tips of his ears while he was young and they stood up on their own. Smokey came to us at 6 months and with floppy ears. I wouldn't trade his little ears for anything. He's so "off standard" it's not even funny but he's MINE and I love him. He's my 15 lb, extra light colored, floppy eared goof ball.

| I have 1 and 1/2 floppy ear yorkies (Sissy has 1 ear up and 1 down). Such personalities

| Oh my im so glad im not the only one. My Gypsy, Mia and Chubby have floppy ears. The one in my avatar was the only one with the ears up. Sadly my Fluffy is not with us anymore. I promise as soon they get trim i will post pics |

| Both my babies are floppy eared! Oliver came to me at 1.5ish (rescue) so there was no way those babies were going up - they are too big and heavy anyways, they likely never would have. Mya came to me at 12 weeks, and I have had her ears shaved trying to get them to go up, but I refuse to tape - I wouldn't want tape in my hair! My groomer basically said at our last appointment to forget it - it's not happening. Her leather is too thick. Likely would have if she was taped at 8 weeks, but oh well! Floppy it is!

| I worried about Daisy's ears not going up when she was a pup. Now after seeing all these darling floppy ears, I should not have worried so much. These babies are all so adorable! I love Yorkie faces, and the ears add the character!

My groomer is good that way: he cuts according to bone structure and features, not so much because that's the way the "cut" is supposed to look. He can hide a lot of "defects" (like Puddie's slightly bowed legs!) under all that hair - just the judicious use of the trimming shears.BUT, the good thing is that hair grows back, and if you prefer the look of Pic 1, take it with you the next time so they go for that look.
