| Rocco's roots I understand that coloring is difficult to determine, but I'm a little confused with Rocco's coloring. He has gray roots (like Mommy) but the rest of his hair is black or brown. Will he have just a silver head, or could it turn tan after it goes silver? His saddle is still black to the roots, so will that likely stay mostly black? He's almost 5 months and I know he'll change drastically, but just wondering what you think?

| Pasquale started off all black...then the top of his head turned silver...and now its tan. So yes, it may turn tan after it turns silver.

| Oh man he is pretty darn cute!!!! His coloring looks just right for his age, as far as I understand it each dog changes differently but he is following a familiar pattern...black, gray, then tan or sometimes they stay a bit blue/grey. Take lot's of pictures so you can compar when he's older. ahh he's such a cutie!

| Rocco is so cute. How old is he? Sandy has the same colours and had silver head when he's around 4 months old. He's now 8 months old. Our breeder told us he will be blue/grey when he's older. |

| Thanks for the helpful comments everyone! You've confirmed that it is still a possibility that he will go tan after the silver/gray. And Manolos Mom - yes, he is tied out with a 15 foot leash, but only when we are with him (playing, doing yardwork, etc.). I'm aware of the hawk dangers, and one of us is always right with him - but thank you for the heads up

| My yorkie Bri is turning grey on top and she's 17 weeks. However, if you look at her head in the light you can see tan coming through towards the back. Rocco's hair looks a lot like hers!! |

| It's hard to determine. Rocco is adorable, he reminds me a bit of what Jackson looked like as a pup. I can only show you what happened with Jackson. Pic 1- 9 weeks old Pic 2- 6 months old Pic 3- 1 year old Pic 4- 1.5 yrs old

| Mabel has the same exact thing! I'm told that it will most likely turn tan on her head. Just like kids you never know what is next! Mabel looks so scruffy all the time...she is very resistant to brushing! I plan on keeping her in a puppy cut. Has Rocco had a hair cut yet?
