| Hawk Protection I have no idea, until I post this thread, if the plastic cord "stuff" I had the fence guy put up today is posted w/this thread, 'cause I don't know how to do this stuff...But, it's up and the strands are 18" apart across the whole back yard, so I hope this protects my babies from those dreaded hawks... |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I hope it works for you too, that sounds like quite a set-up. I should have posted this before but my father-in-law is a bird expert and suggested using crow decoys to try and ward off the hawks. Seems crows and hawks don't get along and the hawks avoid them. So, we purchased the crow decoys and yesterday my dh set them up on the fence around our yard. I still won't leave the pups outside unattended, but we'll see if any hawks circle now. Those big black birds not moving off my fence look kind of funny Btw, if anyone else wants to try this, the crow decoys were bought at Bass Pro.....$30 for 6.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Bass Pro...$30 for six of them. I would imagine Cabella's would have them too.

| I am looking to do the same thing. What type of netting is it? How much did it cost? I notice the gaps in between each strand, a hawk can't get through that? What did you anchor/attach it to? Thank you so much for posting this!!
