I once seen some dogs in a car that I new didn't have that feature and I felt sorry for them and reported it, because I went in the store and shopped for a while. When I came out they were still there It was a very hot day and the dogs in that car were barking and panting like crazy. So I understand how you feel.

| They always get mad...you did the right thing, If it is against the law in your state then it doesn't matter if the car is still cool unless the car is left running.

| I have raised 5 children and though it can be a pain to have to take them in to pick up dry cleaning or some milk, I would never have left them alone in a car. Even when they were old enough to open the doors or windows , not a chance. You wouldn't leave them home without supervision, I certainly wouldn't leave in a car. Kids can get into trouble faster than you can blink. As for dogs they have no way of saying, mommy i'm too hot. I love to take Sofia with me, but I plan ahead, I know that she is welcome where I'm going or she stays at home in her play area where she is safe. If I am stupid enough to leave a child or animal in my car unattended than I should take what I get. As for the Bens owners You could have a sign made to put in your window to let people know just in case there is a problem, maybe with your cell # on it. Might just save your window. I just got an E class and no one told me about this feature, I am going to have to get out my manual and do some reading. |

| There is no excuse for leaving one in the car. Just leave them home where they are safe and won't get roasted in the car or stolen, either.

True, But I will say for my personal experience I do make stops to places that I pull up to the window and go in and pick something up...coffee, pastries bottled water...convenience stops while I'm out and about. They are NEVER more than a few mintues and I can see her. I am fortunate to have the vehicle that I have because even for these quick stops I am more paranoid about leaving a window down and someone reaching in my car and stealing her. The places I frequent are in nice neighborhoods but even with that one can never be too sure.
