Thank you.....it amazes me, Louis' dedication to Forrest - he rarely takes his eyes off of him. LOL...I told dh, Forrest is a great babysitter for Louis too - with Louis so preoccupied with ForrestWatch - he doesn't get into as much mischief.

Judy - it may make a great story that could raise $$$ for rescue... and make sure to get pictures along the way also...what a wonderful story to watch unfold. You are doing such a marvelous job..

I must have missed the original thread(s): I gather Forrest has been given to your care because he has problems (neglect being right near the top), but what's his story?

It's such an endearing thing that Louis senses the need and has chosen to be Forrest's "guardian". Such a good doggie

Forrest was an owner surrender to our rescue - Yorkie Haven - the previous owners were "going to have a baby" and couldn't keep Forrest any longer. He is 4 years old and had seizures as a 6 month old puppy. We were told that he was paralyzed - but he is obviously not - just a little clumsy bc of neurological problems most likely from either liver shunt or hydrocephalus.....he is still in the process of getting a good diagnosis.

That is just the greatest story. You never quite know how God will answer prayers. Please write more about Forrest and Louis. Forrest may just be the wind beneath Louis' wings and helped him find his life's purpose!

This is so touching. I still don't know whether to laugh or cry, so I did a little of both. I can already see a big improvement in Forrest - his sweet eyes don't look so sad anymore. And Louis is one special little man for helping Forrest adjust to his new environment. I hope they're both getting lots of extra treats!

Yes, Louis has a story...don't they all, poor babies, he was to be a breeder's dog - not anymore! Poodle rescue was supposed to get Louis and never came through....so he stayed Being a french poodle, I was thinking Louis Vuitton when I named him - ha, original, hmmm?!?

DH is always making some crack about those of us here (my son and I), thinking we live on "Easy Street". So, I did register Louis with AKC, thinking that might help in rehoming him.....his registered name - "Easy Street Louis".....sounds like a 1920's gangster or some gambler, hmm?

Thank you - I gave up years ago trying to figure out how God will answer my prayers - now, I just accept that he does and am grateful!

I will definitely keep writing about their journey.

Jen, when we first met you told me that Louis actually belonged to your Papillon who seemed to "adopt" Louis right away. Do you think Louis is adopting his own little protege in Forrest?

Girlfriend you do have a great imagination...and you should get a street sign made (they are on ebay) just for your husband "Easy Street"...what a hoot!

So does your husband do the cooking, cleaning, laundry and household accounts?

Jen - I'm so proud of you. What you're doing is wonderful....I never did see how you aquired him either (I'll blame it on what Cindy has) but I can tell by how great they look that you brought them a life they've probably never had.

I just had to come look again at the pictures.

I agree a rescue story/journal would really be great - I read them all the time on my local online newspaper ...they make you cry knowing what WAS .....and make you cry seeing beautiful outcomes
