Donating YT 500 Club Member | Introducing.....Forrest....yes, as in Gump :) Hi, I'm Forrest...like in Forrest Gump. I'm a little slow right now but with the help of Yorkie Haven Rescue am hoping to get better soon. I am four years old and when I was a puppy started having seizures. My owner never found out what was wrong with me. I don't walk very good, I can only take a couple of steps before I stumble and fall. Maybe someday I'll get "magic legs" and can run with the other dogs. My story can have a happy ending too just like the other Forrest's. Hey you all....this is my new foster boy, he was a Craigslist surrender We are not sure exactly what is going on with him. Our lab results came back today and he does have elevated liver values, although the owner insists she was told he doesn't have a liver shunt So, our next step is for bile acids test and then most likely off to OSU for further testing. His ears and tail are in bad shape too, no hair on either. And, his ears are so brittle, there are pieces of their edges falling off He is the sweetest boy and of all the dogs I've fostered before Forrest has turned out to be everyone's favorite....something about those big sad eyes just softly say....Please Help ME!!!!!!! I imagine his original owner didn't have the funds for further testing and treatment so Forrest has lived the past 3-1/2 years almost paralyzed. They gave him up because they are "having a baby".....what did they think Forrest is

| They couldn't afford him but they can afford a baby?? Look at his sweet face...his poor ears look necrotic. I hope whatever is going on is fixable. I'm so happy that there are people like you in this world for little Forrest.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I know Cindy, I've seen some ears in pretty bad shape, but nothing that comes close to this. While at the vets yesterday, I was petting him, the blanket rubbed against his ear and a little piece fell off, right there....I wanted to cry! Believe me, everyone that has seen Forrest has a few "special wishes" for the past owners. He was so thin, another week or two with them and he most likely wouldn't have survived. He couldn't even get to his water

| Oh my, what a sad situation poor little Forrest has been in. Thank God for people like you Jen. How can someone let a little baby suffer like that. I just don't understand how they can't afford to take care of Forrest, but are going to be able to take care of a baby. It is just so sad that there are so many people out there who get a pet and just consider it as something disposable when things go wrong.

| First off~I welcomed you the other day and no one told me that you were THIS Jencar98 I now feel not only totally clueless but really stupid. Now Forest for forest I just can't get over his ears OMG his poor little ears What did the vet say/think? Could it be related to his other issues? I am in tears looking at this poor little guy. How could someone have this precious little guy in their home and see him suffering like this and not do something ANYthing to help him.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | With his liver values elevated as they were, she is now leaning towards shunt. Initially she thought perhaps hydrocephalus.....I guess it could be both Really before much more can be done, he will have to gain some weight. He weighs 3-1/2 lbs and should be somewhere between 6-7lbs.

She thinks the poor condition of his ears is probably related to his general ill health. His thyroid numbers came back at the low side of normal but still within normal range, so she ruled out treating him for that. He has not been eating a decent food, and not very much of it, at that. IDK understand how they could let him go this long. I know, I would have done something! The husband was covered in tattoos.....my son pointed out, tattoos aren't cheap - they had the money for those!
