| Yorkies in Purses We are planning a vacation soon and want to take our baby with us. So I am wondering what your experiences are taking with taking your babies in their purses/bags into different tourist type places? Do you ever have problems bringing your dogs along or do most places allow the dogs as long as they are kept in the bags? I just have no idea what to expect. |

| I guess it all depends what type of store you are visiting and how well she is hidden. A dog purse is a great disguise, as long as she is quiet... I have been asked to leave a store and I have had great experiences with other stores. All you can do is try it and see what kind of reaction you get. Good luck and have fun! |

| I have taken mine pretty much everywhere in my Kwigy-Bo bag because it is very discreet and they are quiet. Many of them I would have gotten in trouble though if I would have gotten caught. I have taken them on vacation before, but Chloe has not gone yet, and I wouldn't take her anywhere that she isn't allowed because she is VERY nervous when out in public. I got her at 1 year and I don't think she had really been socialized that great. So I guess it depends on the dog, and the bag.

| A lot depends on where you are going on vacation. There are some very dog friendly cities and some that are not at all. It also depends on how well you can hide your dog, Mine will bark the second they hear a small child squeal so we never sneak them in anywhere.

| We've found we can sneak Rio in anywhere as long as she's in her Kwigy Bo bag. The bag just looks like a regular purse, so we never look suspicious (unless my husband is carrying the purse! LOL!) Most of the time she stays quiet and we've been able to bring her into restaurants, stores, etc. Most establishments that serve food do not allow dogs unless there is an outdoor seating area, so the key is keeping your furbaby quiet! |

| We just got back from Savannah GA. We took Mabel with us and it was a nightmare! We got thrown off a trolley( well, not actually thrown off but asked to get off politely!) Anyway, it was not a very pleasant experience...We had to eat in shifts so some one could sit outside with Mabel. Rest areas where you would think of as pet friendly were not... Tall grass with sticker bushes in designated potty areas! Not many restaurants have outside eating spots. And in the hotel we stayed in(Homewood Suites) although advertised as "pet friendly" would not allow her in the lobby because they had food there. I just do not understand why there are not more places where dogs are welcome? I suppose i should have done more research. I do understand that not everyone apprechiates my dog as i do but honestly i do not see why well behaved dogs are not allowed in more places. I guess health codes prohibit it. I must say that the general public was great...Miss mabel was quite popular everywhere we went! Oh yeah, be sure to check if beach allows pets. Tybee Island does not. I hope all my ranting has not discouraged you! Even tho it was lots of trouble i would take her again just to have her company...the hassle was worth it! And as you probably have found out...Every one you meet has either owned a yorkie or knows some who does! As a matter of fact at the hotel there were 4 yorkies staying there! maybe those folks had less trouble than we did!

| I think it all depends on the purse. I've heard that the dog strollers work very well...some even look like baby strollers. I would think that if you draped a blanket over the top...people would think it was a real human baby sitting inside....until it barks.

| I've taken Molly in her Kwigy-Bo bag in various stores that I don't think allow dogs normally. Fortunately for me she's quiet. I do have a really nice dog stroller for her. I've used it at dog meet-ups and parks and have gotten almost more interest in her stroller than in her! lol I have heard that you can get away with malls and stores while they're in the stroller; I myself have never tried that though.

| I bring Cerise with me to restaurants and shopping. I have a nice pet carrier that looks like a large purse. When we are outside I let her walk, but when we go into buildings that I know are concerned, I place her inside her carrier and zip it up. Of course she is not a noise maker either. She's a really good girl and LOVES to go! I would suggest that you get a quality carrier with good ventilation. I see some people putting small puppies in regular tote bags, with no breathing room or air vents and that is not good IMO.

| I have taken Roxy out a couple times. The key is definitely how quiet she is. We took her into CC's and she kept poking her head out of the bag so I had to close her in....she didnt bark though. Then when we went to Tallahassee to the museum there we asked the people if it would be a problem to bring her in and they said she would be fine as long as she was in the carrier...YAY!! She loved the museum We are going up to the Atlanta area in a couple weeks to pick up Roxy's soon to be best friend *YAY!* and we are going to take her with us....any ideas on pet friendly spots in the Atlanta area??
