| I'm not familiar with the brand advocate, but if it is similar to frontline or advantage that doesn't sound normal. It sounds like some kind of reaction to me. Maybe someone who is familiar with it will post. I would call the vet and ask.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I don't remember hearing anyone describing that kind of reaction. Does it have alcohol in it? I used Frontline once with Roxy. You apply it to the skin. Within a few minutes she was walking across the floor and just plopped on her side & laid there very still. Finally got up and moved to next room & plopped on her side again. She had never done anything like that before. I rushed her to the vet. She washed her down real good with soap/shampoo real good and Roxy started returning to normal soon after. It was really quite scary. Vet said she had a reaction to the alcohol in the Frontline. Many people use Frontline on their yorkies with no problem, but Roxy was one who didn't. How's your little one doing now?

| I have never used Advocate but I have used Frontline on my Chihuahua's and everytime I do one of my dogs does the same thing you mentioned. He gets a little frenzied, jumps up and down, rolls around and acts like something is bugging him. I have checked his skin and it doesn't welp or get red or anything but he obviously does not like it. I tried a different brand last time and it was a little better but he still didn't love it. The vet couldn't see anything wrong and said he was unfamiliar with that reaction and didn't know a reason for it, but one of my dogs certainly reacts to it.
