| AHHHH the old "isn't this game of chase so fun mom" routine...Bruce frequently does this, and I know how panic stricken it must have got you. I have been working on stay and come diligently for about 5 months with very little progress until recently...Basically my point is do not be too frustrated if she does not get it right away, she probably thinks the chasing is a game, just keep practicing and praise her when she is good.

| I'm glad you were able to save your furbaby Bender just got away from me the other day. I was so scared because he ran so far away that he nearly got to the busy street outside our complex. It was obviously a game to him, as he kept running and looking behind at me, then speeding up as I did. So I figured I'd take the fun out of it, and I stopped and turned around as if I was starting to go home. Oh no...suddenly it wasn't so much fun anymore! Bender stopped, looked at me funny, and came running back. |

| Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I agree 100 percent with SoCal and Rowdy'sMom. Eddie did that as a pup, and I signed him up for obedience training to get him to stop running away. It worked. One of the first lessons they taught was making coming to me fun. Sure enough, when I call him now, he comes. I'm so glad nothing bad happened when your pup ran.
