| Allergy Issues My last love was a Chi dog ... roughly 8 pounds.. loved her to peices but boy was I allergic to her, yep all 18 years I had her ..lol Trying to be a little more sensible this time around and seen Yorkies on the hypoallergenic list of dogs.. However I just spoke to a women who was selling her 2 yr old yorkie because her 16 mo. old daughter was allergic. That would be just my luck... hate to get one (been looking 6 mo. now) just to find out the next 10-15 years will be a daily dose of allegra. How do you test out something like that? I guess I need to borrow one for the weekend?? Seriously thou.. now what? |

| I have heard of the rare 1 or 2 who is allergic to Yorkies. But it is rare. My allergies would flare when I groomed Yogi as a baby. Pollen seemed to cling to his baby coat. But once he got his adult coat there have been no more issues. So, just a thought, if you do get a Yorkie a puppy may not be the best to get. I wonder if more then being allergic to the dog, the child is maybe allergic to the grooming products their using? hmmm Is there anyway they'd let you visit with the dog for several hours or maybe take it on a trial period to see if you'd be allergic too? Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
