I have heard of the rare 1 or 2 who is allergic to Yorkies. But it is rare. My allergies would flare when I groomed Yogi as a baby. Pollen seemed to cling to his baby coat. But once he got his adult coat there have been no more issues. So, just a thought, if you do get a Yorkie a puppy may not be the best to get.

I wonder if more then being allergic to the dog, the child is maybe allergic to the grooming products their using? hmmm Is there anyway they'd let you visit with the dog for several hours or maybe take it on a trial period to see if you'd be allergic too?

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
